>>11643105Sorry about the late reminder, was catching up on some badly needed sleep. Was up until 2 am last night wrapping, not only for my assignment but for others, including some foster kids near me for an agency a good friend of mine works for.
Just so people don't think me a saint or think I am trying to boost myself as one, I also collected toys from others FOR these foster kids, but they still needed.
And in case any one wants to do something holiday-ish in their own backyard, this is something to keep in mind - foster kids, especially teenage boys, are often forgotten during this time of year - at most getting something like a paid of socks or other, necessary but not necessarily 'Christmas gift-like" undergarments or other items. I like to give toy-like things regardless, so pick stuff like soccer balls.
When foster agencies and foster homes get donations, they get things like toys but they are age appropriate for little ones. Same as those fireman drives, etc. And of course the agencies rarely have money to spare, and if they do, it tends to go for things like a seasonal meal treat.
