if I could spend $20 to for-sure get this Bo-Katan, I might. it's both adorable and awesome. but there's no way I'm dropping $20 a pop on random chances. that would add up QUICK into insanity.

oddly enough, I'm more at peace with the "art" ones where they are all unique characters. getting a random one of those doesn't bother me as much, but they're still kinda expensive

I was excited for a half-minute until I checked. price must vary based on which figure. looks like I'm not the only one who likes this cutie pie.

I can't complain since it's way better than buying them randomly at $20 a pop, but $50+ is way over my price tolerance even if it's the exact figure I want.

Yeah the artist pretty much ripped off Bryan O malley's character design and even the whole "local garage band scene" style but for girls. I'm not complaining since I always loved SP girls tho

Low level gambling for zoomers. This board is full of millennials so you guys don't understand. I have lots of Zoomer subordinates, and they're constantly gambling. Sports betting is standard, but things like gacha, Pokemon boosters and blind boxes activates their neuron. The point is not getting the rare card or box, it's the rush in opening it. I bought one of them a card he wanted off eBay for a job well done, and he looked bummed out. Later his Zoomer colleagues told me I just killed his vibe for opening boosters. It's very retarded.

Yeah us millenials NEVER did this. We never bought Pokemon cards like maniacs. Espscially not in 1997. And we definitively didn't crash the comic book market at one point due to speculative reselling scalping retards.

Older western toys were extremely well made and looked really good, especially considering the technology at that time. Even up to early 2000s, you had amazing western toys, mask, transformers, tmnt, Dino riders.

Sure, but in terms of girls toys none of them were ever really as cute as Eastern toys except perhaps for some very old Victorian-era style porcelain dolls or some select few baby dolls.

I mean just compare Barbie to Licca and you’ll see there’s a stark difference.

There have been blind boxes from the US and Japan for years. Was it the social media push on TikTok and Insta that made PopMart take off?
I've been buying Kaiyodo and Medicom blind boxes for around two decades. I have never seen it as popular as it is now with the Chinese market flooding in. The section is like five times the size it was two years ago at a local shop.
