I get the impression that Anthony would honestly enjoy collecting fixed posed statues instead of action figures. It's obvious he prioritizes looks over articulation. He keeps constantly asking if they would prefer figures that have butterfly joints and separate neck joints over figures with no butterfly joints and neck sculpts fused to the torso and most people answer they prefer the former but he keeps asking the question over and over, hoping people change their answer to the latter.

I wonder sometimes if he doesnt want to bother balancing when it comes to dynamic poses but that sounds too copey, he probably just doesnt care much. I think he puts most the work into the review itself. As much as he may whine I like his input.

desu the only thing I can think of him doing that actually really annoyed me was when he got pissy about the jada sf figures not matching the super character select portraits. very reasonable for jada to not use the excessively stylized character portraits and go with something more neutral that maps to the ingame sprites.

that's basically his main criteria. he'll nitpick about sculpt and paint, but if the articulation is reasonable and the figure isn't the laziest thing ever aesthetically he'll usually give it the "iyeah go ahead and buy it if you like the character"

He refuses to do number ratings logically. He should just give figures letter grades between A and F since that is what his rating scale is based off.

as a high level trade off sure but when he's dogging a figure for basic mistakes it's usually incompetent articulation, characters with badly set legs, terrible range in the torso, lollipop necks, etc.

Also this is the same guy who used to be (is still?) against toe hinges and butterflies because "they don't add anything and only look ugly".
His articulated figure line that he was going to wow the entire world with is also dead in the water.
