I honestly don't care about stuff like helmet holes, and I can even look past minifigs that are wrong. Like, I like the Fives minifigure, even though the helmet is completely wrong, and there are other issues.
I do agree that the last two years have been pretty good. There have been a lot of great sets for sure, but the other major issues is the sets getting smaller than the build from past years, while the prices are going up.
Nevermind if you have sets that are a combination of all three; bad or wrong minifigures, high prices, and smaller or just bad builds. Current Turbo Tank is probably the biggest culprit of this. I actually like the new MTT a lot, because I like that they went with a more themed color scheme/detail on it rather than just another brown box, but it also pretty small and it (and the aforementioned Turbo Tank) are probably at least $40 over priced.
And then you have things like the $45 battle pack. I think that still to this day, LEGO doesn't really understand the point of battle packs. They've knocked it out the the park a few times over the years (what feels like accidentally) at this point, but now the prices are just absurd. Even the almost $25 for a standard battle pack is kinda too much.
