>>11705491I enjoyed it at the time, but back then there really wasn't anything like it and Harems weren't as ubiquitous as they are today, especially ones with action space fantasy. I enjoyed what I saw, but there's so much of the franchise that's bad or reboots or ignores or reimagines itself it's hard to keep track of everything and what's actually "canon". Still, the good parts are really good and for the most part all the characters are charming and fun so I still have some nostalgia for it as a whole.
>>11705568>>11705597Ah the good old days of anime where it was so under the radar most people didn't realize how creepy it got. Renting this stuff from the Blockbuster animated section was always a good time because A) you never knew what you were actually getting and B) you DID know you really should've have been watching it as a kid.
Now that Kusinagi and Samus actually have figures, that's two of my three "90s anime babes" checked off my "U Knoe" list. I guess that means Ryoko can finally move up into that top three rankings...right along side Iria and my still reigning number one want, Alita.
