This is why I stopped caring about anything 3a makes. Their releases were horrible, they were hyped to the point where everything sold out immediately, and Ashley Wood spent more time on duck faced girls than anything I actually cared about. They picked their demographic and fucked over anyone else who didn't care to follow Ashley around on his jerk off rampage. He's been beating a dead horse for years now. The String Divers were a somewhat decent change of pace, but even that's been run into the ground with the prices being double what they should be for how light and flimsy the figures themselves are.

All I ever see from 3A is people ask them if the email they have actually works and release updates on what you are not going to be getting this month. I'm thinking it was just this particular bot, since I havent had problems with any of their other figures. Maybe it was a bad batch or something, I couldn't say. You can try c/s, they used to be good with helping out. Based on the age of the bot, I dunno if they can do anything. It's worth a shot. Even if you bought the bot 3rd hand, try them. The only repair I've ever done (beyond replacing an arm with a cannon) was on a the portal square, his hip snapped, I used name brand krazy glue and it's held since. The fingers are pretty small so I dunno how well that will hold.

Honestly, I'm fine with it. Hot Toys/Sideshow already own the realistic 1/6th game, and 1/12th is crowded with Figuarts, Bandai models, Black Series, Revoltech, Mafex, etc.

There's 5 altogether. EMGY first release from NYCC, the 2 mass release krab labs red and black and white panda or cow or whatever the fuck it was, then the digi camo one shown around the night star wars toys were released that matches the rothchild superset bot, and finally the white and red Japan version that was exclusive to the smiles on our lips show that just happened. They're pretty cool, I hate normal squares but love these versions.

As far as opening up a Square, well, the square part itself is hollow vinyl. You basically need to heat it up to soften the vinyl and pull out the waist section. Be careful, if you're too rough you might tear the vinyl. If you are particularly good with craftsmanship, you might want to cut out your own removable hatch in order to easily replace the batteries without doing the whole heat & pop thing every time.

That's all that made it from that fat September shipping list. Everything else is in a queue that should ship later this month. Why does 3a even bother making these unrealistic shipping dates? All of their fans know that 3a is a fucking shit head when it comes to deadlines, so why don't they say the rest of the queue won't ship for another four months like we all know and expect. What do they gain from giving us these unrealistic shipping dates?

Yes, it's a big balljoint. You can see the internals of the socket in this sliced-open Square. It's probably just paint-stuck--hit it with a hairdryer for a bit and see if that loosens it up.

Well Hot Toys and Sideshow both have the 1/6 license for film reproduction stuff, Hasbro have the US sewn up for 3.75" and 6", SHF, Revoltech and Mafex have the Asian 6" licenses.

There's a serious chance the only license Ash could get at this point is to make 'artistic interpretation' stuff like with Marvel and DC.

Feels bad, I still live in hope of getting Action Portable Star Wars. Ash's 6" Stormtroopers are still the best anyone's ever made.

They've sent Optibotimus a sample of Bumblebee and posted his review up on the 3A blog, which is vomit-inducing.

Also, is anyone else having problems with the blog recently? Upon clicking it, it freezes my browser for a few seconds then tells me a script has stopped responding.

Yeah I regret not getting a couple, now... shoot. I don't usually like the white bots but the matte finish and weathering really brings out the details.
