On the one hand, surprisingly good detailing, articulation, accessories, and preview paint for a reasonable price.
On the other hand, not to scale with anything else in my collection(If Kermit's 6", that's, what, about 1/4 scale?) and what the hell is up with Kermit's knee joint?

I'll wait until I see better pictures of the texturing. Palisades did a near perfect job on texturing the felt, whereas these (admittedly low-res) images look like the felt sculpting got melted under acetone slightly. They're not as crisp as I'd like, and beyond the form of the characters it's pretty clear that texturing is a huge aspect of what sets muppets apart.

Gonzo looks like a cartoon version, I thought Diamond Select wanted to make it look like as if the Muppets were "real"?

Which is was Palisades did (better) and they looked spot on from the actual Muppets.

Kermit looks like the best one, but I doubt his legs would be able to hold him up.. Or that he has ankle pivot... And are they giving him extra hands? Why would they pose him with a banjo with neutral hands. And it looks like the joint on his wrist isnt painted. Why wouldnt they give him ball joints for his ankles and wrists? Theyd look better and work better. I assume balljoints are easier/cheaper to make, but I could be wrong.
And his banjo barley has any paint. And he doesn't have a felt texture.

man, listen to me bitch and bitch about an action figure of a muppet.. I can go on, but who cares. Oh well I guess I was expecting more.

The Palisades figures certainly look better than these guys. That's not to say that these ones are bad - on the contrary, they turned out a lot better than expected - just that Palisades set the bar very, very high. That being said, at $22 for a two-pack, they'd make a great alternative for people driven off by the prices/scarcity of the Palisades stuff these days.

...That being said, did anyone ever give a shit about Bean Bunny? They should've just ditched him and used the budget to improve Kermit and Robin (maybe stick some swivels on Robin, or add some swappable hands/an alternate head for Kermit).

Noo, they look similar cus they're the same costume but they're not. Besides the joints theres differences in the sculpt, like the flower on his colar or his hair.

I wish they were using palisades sculpts though..

They did display him with a log at NYCC, don't know if they took it out or not. Gonzo really looks like the worst out of the bunch, it's like they based it off the Muppet Babies instead of the actual Muppet.

I'd rather track down the Palisades figure instead.

All of their retailers went bankrupt and walmart was being a dick to collector toy companies, demanding strict rules and what not. So they died as a result.

The Muppets was their flagship line.. no.. it was their fucking crown jewel. You won't find a more painstakingly detailed Muppet figure or playset than theirs, top notch paint jobs too.

On top of all that was Disney not renewing Palisades licencing of the characters. In fact for 8 months Disney din'tg et back to them and they had 2 new waves ready to release when Disney said "No we are not renewing your contract.

These aren't vinyl toys. There's some PVC here but vinyl hipstershit toys tend to refer exclusively to hollow, almost entirely PVC figures. Like funko pop and shit. Not nendos.
