>>5243621You would think, but you'll still get people who want to try. Problem is, where a toy is possible to find, often the art supplies are not. At least, not the quality we'd usually consider hobby worthy. My SO grew up in a third-world country and says he used to try to customize toys, even just to take the knockoffs and make them look right. Even as a kid he could save up over time and buy the toy, but the best paint he could find was similar to the big bottles they use for kindergarten art here (though probably not non-toxic...)
