What kindof sense does it make to completely cancel all orders just because Blufin is late?

I ordered a SHMA Godzilla from Amazon early this year and they were late with that too. Only that time they didn't cancel my order, I just had to wait longer for it.

I'm fucking fine with waiting out the delay if it means that I still get the figure for MSRP. Now I'm just screwed because the figs that got cancelled are OOS everywhere.

Not sure how Amazon works for you, but I just get shit posted to me as it releases, so if it gets delayed, I just get it later. Never had Amazon cancel or unable to fulfill an order.

The late thing is a mistake due to Amazon constantly listing the Japanese release month, when Bluefin has to wait for the shipment from Japan to come in. I guess theoretically its possible you'd get it on the listed month if some miracle gets those packages here super fast it could make it, but generally the time to get the packages over here is around a month.

This might be bluefin's fault more than amazons. Bluefin has been dropping the ball super hard this year. Both stores I go to out here have been complaining about how shitty bluefin has gotten all year.

Missing shipments, no communication, shifting policies, lots of crap.

What's going on is Bluefin is dealing wtih more products than ever and they can't handle it. They keep changing dates, sending less stock than they promise, and spreading themselves too thin between stores that carry Bluefin imported products, conventions, and online retailers.

Amazon for all of their great services, is incredibly spiteful when a company communicates poorly. For instance while they've always carried games, they were unwilling to stock Nintendo hardware themselves because Nintendo was not communicating properly with Amazon.

Maybe they get the stock. Amazon doesn't like dealing with companies that don't have their shit together. Bluefin does not have their shit together and can't reliably supply, so rather than act on Bluefin's (worthless) promises, they'll just put them up when they get them, if they get them.

Way back in (april?) I missed the original order for Pyramid head, had a $25 amazon gift certificate so decided to order it on there (fulfilled by bluefin).

Took them weeks for them to acknowledge the order only for them to say it would take 4 months for them to get it to me (sometime in July). Well I waited the whole time. Went past the estimated ship date, no word whatsoever.

Eventually had to physically call amazon (bluefin didn't return any emails) to get them to cancel the order for a full refund (which was great as they even gave me an extra $5 back with the $25 for a $30 amazon fun bucks). The lady from amazon even admitted they had no clue what happened with that as it looked like they got the order just bluefin didn't do jack shit with it. ITs all sad as I have ordered shit from amazon all the time, and never had this problem (until bluefin was used).

The kicker is that I ordered PH with the nurses and they got fucking delayed till November.

This. Better for Amazon to cancel now, when you still have time to order elsewhere, than months later when Bunglefin says it can't fill their order.

I dislike Amazon as much as the next guy but they are running a business. When they trust Bunglefin and Bunglefin lies, it makes Amazon look bad. 3rd party sellers can't afford to trust Bunglefin either because "late" preorders are a great way to get dinged/banned.

You are right about that, both Amazon and Blufin are shit, but Amazon is the one cancelling my orders instead of just letting them sit around for another month or whatever.

I don't see other stores cancelling orders even though they will be getting their stock late.

I won't be using them again. Simply can't trust them not to cancel every order. They want to play hard-ball with blufin, but the way I see it, the only people this hurts are the customers.

I know a small retailer who carries bluefin stuff. They hate them. Bluefin seems to purposely dick stores around. They change their rules all the time and communicate like they are trying to avoid talking to people. It's so bad they are toning down what bluefin stuff they'll carry to only what is guaranteed to sell fast.

Well, I guess that Pepsi Perfect campaign was retarded too, and that was partly Amazon's fault. But Amazon Prime really saved my ass several times. I barely even go out and buy toys anymore.

Doing the math, paying $50 a year is saving me quite a bit of money on shipping considering how much I buy on Amazon.

Same here. I have one last outstanding order with Bluefin and then that's it for dealing with them. I can't stay in business constantly getting stuff months late and having to sit on it for a year. Between them and Hasbro, I don't know how any small retailer makes it.
