Brand isn't an issue here, I'm basically just wondering how figma 2.0 can be TWICE AS GOOD as the original, and if the Revoltech is so bad that it's not even worth considering.

Get 2.0. You can just tell with a quick glance at the picture you made that it's obviously the best one. Stalk Mandarake, i'm sure there'll be a few going for less than 100 eventually.

I really wish they made a casual using the 2.0 body.

I own all three. The Revoltech is pretty crappy, the original figma is just good and the 2.0 one is fantastic, best looking Saber action figure hands down. Articulation-wise is the best one together with the Chogokin.

Not really. As much as I love the articulation, metal and the accuracy of the skirt and chest armor shape on the Chogokin, the faces aren't as good as they should be. They aren't terrible, but the figma 2.0 ones are waaaay better.

If not for the faceplates, the Chogokin would be the best one hands down. It's a real shame, they nailed them on Gilgamesh.

I'm not doubting that 2.0 is the "best", but when I can only find it for $113, while I can get original for $35, I have to question exactly how much "better" it is. Articulation seems to be about the same, accessories are the same, biggest difference is 2.0 is taller and has better sculpt/painting.

Not really, 2.0 has WAY more range in the torso and shoulders thanks to extendable joints, and jointed toes. The shape of the skirt makes the legs more poseable too.

I guess I'm just biased towards chogo. I have both Version 1, and 2 of Saber figma, and BOTH got that sweaty/sticky plastic shit going, and they're the only two figma I've had that problem with. I'd chalk it up to bad luck, but in my eyes the fact it was both sabers was kinda annoying.

The sticky plastic problem happened on my first original Saber figma, she was already a bit sticky in box. But my second one and the 2.0 are perfecly fine, and it didn't happen with any of my other over 60 figmas.

The stickyness is caused by plasticizers breaking up, do you live in a specially hot area? That's the cause for that to happen most of the time.

Not really, in comparison to where a lot of other people live I'd expect, I'm in Canada in the east, but I'd expect the 25'C heat I complain about in the summer is tame by some people's standards. I've only had the problem with my two sabers, and One shinki. Pretty hard to deal with too, I've tied cleaning it various ways but it never really goes away.

I actually agree with this and the face plates don't bother me at all since they actually match closer to Ufotable's FZ Saber (which I much prefer than any design of Saber). Add the metal parts, hefty weight, multitude of extras, the water base, and you've got a really good figure that's really worth the money you're paying it for. Also, she scales pretty nicely with Figma Kiritsugu.

Figma 2.0 is good if you want Ufotable's new style FSN Saber though.

Dunno man, on the prototype the faces were OK, but I don't think they made a good job on the actual product. Part of the reason they look weird is because most of the time Bandai doesn't apply a matte topcoat over the skin parts of their figures for some retarded reason, so they look really plasticky. The eyes are somewhat wrong too, but they look OK on the smiling face (the best one included with the Chogokin, imo).

To me there's no point of comparison between the faceplates of the Chogokin and the figma, right looks way better than left. Other than that I really think the Chogokin is a great figure, love everything else about it.

Once it starts, there's no definitive solution for leacking plasticizers.The only thing you can do is clean the affected parts with water regularly. Leaving them every now and then in the freezer for a while seems to slow down the leaking too, but I never bothered to do it.
