Just squish the hands together if they accessory is too small, then fit the accessroy into the hand. If grip is still too long, resquish and keep on requishing until it's tight.
Force the hand open with the too big accessory's handle. Force hand open with fingers if still not wide enough.
No heat, no nothing. I've been doing this for lke a decade with no problems.
It stays that way for me forever (or maybe just months until i take them down from a shelf to repose them).
The only problem i have with figures is keeping accessories in holes, peg, or head. I add a dab of white glue to keep them in, without it being permanent.
