It's toku related, but I figure I'd ask in here since it's more focused on SHF The arm to my Kamen Rider Mach is pretty loose, but it's not up in the upper shoulder joint, but the lower part, where the arm can be taken off. How can I make it stay better, for lack of better terms? It's fine when I'm not posing it, but it's pretty annoying to have to keep having to push it back in when I twist the arm.

I just bought the first edition Cardcaptor Sakura figure (The one in the pink dress) what do you guys think of her? Is she shit?
Anonymous
>>5283178 I got her for $15 from Amazon. I honestly wouldn't have paid more than that for her though. She's not a bad figure, but I don't like the way her skirt was stylised at all, and preferred the accessories that came with the Figma.
To be honest, I mostly bought her for the extra faceplate and Kero, to go with the second opening outfit release (which is a pain in the ass to pose, but really cute), as well as the little photo cards to use as backdrops.
Anonymous
>>5283187 Hmm, I can't get her from Amazon so I'll have to HLJ it. I guess if I like her I'll get the second one and the figma. Normally only bother with Kamen Riders but Cardcaptor was the first anime I ever watched.
Anonymous
>>5283131 very tiny amount of super glue on the arm part around that peg and you just rotate the arm back and forth to spread it and it will make the hold tighter and be more permanent than future shine.
Anonymous
>>5283197 It's all down to preference, really. I know a lot of people on the SHF threads preferred her SHF release to the Figma, and there are heaps of comparison photos of the two out there if you only want to get one.
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>5283197 >>5283207 Oh. And for the record, I think the yellow outfit is cuter than the pink for the SHF release. Plus, Kero is in a more dynamic pose that works better with the figure than the standing-on-the-floor-looking-sorta-stern thing they did with the first one's release.

Anonymous
>>5281391 Because the franchise was fucked up every way imaginable when it was released in the US.
The original anime/manga was too violent and filled with too much shit that could never fly in the US (like the Nazi swastika for the one character).
The original mini-figures were released as MUSCLES as a result, with no media tie-in and pretty much NO backstory or even NAMES for the character, save for Kinnikuman and Buffaloman, who were given new names as the token leaders for the good and bad guy side.
When Ultimate MUSCLE aired, all of the merch basically TANKED at retail. Which is ironic as hell, as the cartoon was one of the top rated shows 4Kids dubbed and aired on Fox. But the success led to the bullshit rape of One Piece, as 4Kids basically were forced to buy One Piece to get Toei to finance an American exclusive second season of Ultimate MUSCLE.
And even then, the cartoon vanished off the face of the Earth. No DVD release save for a couple of episodes that are long long OOP and IIRC Viz buried the manga and discontinued it after only a handful of volumes, which are also OOP.
As such, America is a horrible place to try and release them since no one has any nostalgia related connection to the characters and in the case of Ultimate MUSCLE, the show was quickly forgotten with zero cult following as far as being a flavor of the month for casuals.

>>5283234 >Viz buried the manga and discontinued it after only a handful of volumes, which are also OOP On a positive note, Viz did complete the localization of the Nisei manga... years later. oops.
Ramenman would be the bigger issue than Brocken, imo. With Brocken, at least the swastika can be edited out + remove the clips with the Nazi audience and all. Hard to do anything with Ramenman, though. It's completely understandable why they didn't bother localizing Kinnikuman in NA.

after my amiami preorders all go through I think I'm just canning them. Hobby Search/HLJ have been being faster lately and they aren't horrible businesses. It's weird how they had all of their clones/battle droids for a day but took a day to send out payment requests, and then we had to wait for the weekend for it to ship, AND NOW they don't even ship it on the monday after (for me, at least). what a bunch of fucking assholes. It's essentially been 4-5 days since the things have come out and it still hasn't shipped.

There's plenty of people who got shipping notices from hlj and hobby search before amiami even sent out payment requests.
>>5311148 When I pay out the ass for shipping and can't even cancel preorders I get to be entitled. They're an uptight shitty business that only gets sales because their prices are $5+ lower than other places, everyone knows they're jerks.

McBalderus
Quoted By:
>>5311469 While I do think you've got the right to complain, because in the end it is your money, I also think you should consider that AmiAmi is one of the larger distributors so it'd make sense that they are a bit slower. It also could be because of the coming Holiday which they usually are much slower during.
It definitely sucks, but it's to be expected, so in the end it really just falls on who you want to give money to.
Anonymous
>>5311469 Is it really that big of a deal to you that you're blowing up over one day? Who cares?
I got my payment request Saturday morning, the 28th for me, and I had four items (Awakening Goku, and three Clone Troopers) in my order that came out the 28th. I just waited because I was out of town for Thanksgiving and couldn't make the payment until Sunday anyway.
Besides, Amiami was down for like, 6 hours for site-wide maintenance Saturday night/Sunday morning which might have slowed things down.
Just chill out a little.
Anonymous

>>5311480 The thing is, when they waste a day for premium shipping they should compensate you for that day, but they wouldn't ever do that, so that's why I'm angry. I wouldn't pay out the ass for shipping if I thought they wouldn't be on time.

Why?
Because you aren't paying for expedited handling. You are paying for a shipping service from a postal carrier. Get that through your thick, self entitled retard skull.
Enjoy!
Anonymous
>>5311487 Yeah I'll definitely be sticking with hobby search/hlj after my preorders all finish. They actually practice good business, amiami has good prices, that's it.
Anonymous
>>5311486 You're paying for the speed of shipping AFTER they send it out, the time it takes for them to do so doesn't count. Also the 20000 yen insurance that comes with it.
Anonymous
>>5311486 And I'm saying I didn't have that issue.
I made my payment Sunday, and within less than a day, my package was shipped.
Japan is more than half a day ahead, assuming you're in the US (I am) so it just takes time before they get and process the order/shipment.
I had no issues, and the timeline I saw from the time I received the email asking for payment, to the time I paid, to the time they shipped was no different than usual for me. And that's including the maintenance downtime.
Anonymous
>>5311493 >>5311490 Oh no, I understand that, but you have to be a real group of assholes to just lazily push shit off knowing that someone paid for express. Do you actually think people tolerate amiami if they decided to wait a week to ship all EMS orders? No, they'd complain, and it'd be a sound complaint, because the expectation is for something expedited to ship quickly as well, and most places understand this.
Anonymous
>>5311496 Again, though, you paid on your sunday, I paid on my saturday (I live in the US as well), and for some reason they shipped yours, and still haven't shipped mine. They very obviously have the resources to get all of the packages out in one day, they're just being lazy.

>>5311505 Just out of curiosity, when did you preorder? Because I preordered them as soon as they went up, months ago.
Dunno if maybe they're going in order if you preordered more recently or whatever, though.
Also, you definitely are blowing the time frame out of proportion. These figures released on the 28th, and it is only the 30th. They've been out for two whole days. You're already talking that you've been waiting for 4, 5 days to a week. You're making a big deal over nothing and exaggerating to make a point.
Also, did you even bother emailing them about it? I've only had one issue with Amiami ever as far as a delayed shipment, and that's because an item in the shipment got delayed and they hadn't uncombined the item from the main order yet. I emailed them and in less than a day I heard back from them with the new shipment and payment request.
Fucking talk to them and ask them what the problem is.

>>5306488 (which, mind you, was while some people had gotten their shipping confirmations from hlj/hobby search), it was their 27th, and they had gotten the stuff instock on their 26th, a day before I made that post. Or, rather, some of the stuff in the same shipment went "instock," but the bandai stuff doesn't come in multilpe shipments, so they simply didn't state whether or not the stuff had gotten instock until their 27th, unlike most of the other sites, who were much more quick even though they tend to make less money, which I find funny.
I'll email them if they haven't shipped it out by tomorrow.
