You need something good to start with.
You didn't have that, therefore everything else that followed was sub par.
You don't need an expensive hammer to hammer in nails, you just have to know the basics of how it works. If you don't you can't blame the tools.
You have the potential to do some really good shit. Don't do yourself the disservice of just brushing it off with the "fuck you I do what I want' attitude.
