As for whether they're monsters, MH includes sci-fi horror concepts like swamp creatures and alien invaders, and robots have appeared in horror movies, so why not?
...I'm more concerned about the 'Daughter of the Rat King' character myself. A rat king is about a dozen rats tied together with their tails, HOW IN THE FUCK is that going to have children?
