>>5332107I read and watched both. This guy
>>5332291 is right.
Actually preferred the movie because the edgy inner monologue wasn't there and it was the thing making me groan like a motherfucker through the comic.
Comic's art is great, though.
Having said that, I liked Year One and Year One Hundred Bats better. I like Batman being sneaky and squishy but still brutal.
>>5332302idunno, I liked the Superman part.
I felt it put things into perspective, like this whole "power of the people" thing Batman was building up during his return is then set up against an unstoppable force that has the law/morals on its side; you see that even in the face of a nuclear war and a fight to the death against his best friend he prefers to stand for people being able to speak for themselves and take a stand like he is doing.
Miller was just great at that, making significant conflicts that resonate with you and the story he is telling.
Thinking of it, maybe I should re-read Ronin.
It was the first thing I read from Miller, and I thought it was complete shit, but I got to love the guy after Martha Washington, Year One, and the Born Again arc.
Love War is weird, though the art was great.
