Never really cared for SAS, sold or boxed up the ones I got a few years ago, but I purchased Magician's Red on a whim for cheap and it turned out to be the best SAS I've owned thus far (not sure why I never bothered buying it earlier). It's genuinely a good toy. Not getting back into the line, but I finally appreciate what they can do.

Pic was taken atop my cat's scratch post tower.

I really wanna make a custom shadow DIO SAS, but I have never made a custom before and have no clue where to start.

Which Revoltechs? It's a non-scale line so there's a lot of variety, up to almost 3cm difference for males that are supposed to be the same size. For example the Hokuto no Ken revoltechs are manlets compared to SAS. SAS is more stable, though the part 3 figures are notoriously shrimpy.

Stalk Mandy or other 2nd hand sites. The initial prices will be high (I remember WF GER being 9k+ post WF)

Alternatively you can wait and see how things go on site and wait for a drop in price due to reasons(box damage and whatnot).

I was a little surprised to see WF GER get a decent drop in price even with the additional Gio head so I'm curious on WF Johnathan. Personally I'll just snatch him up quickly since I love the color way and stripe pattern.

That's a bit odd. Usually it's a snug enough fit to allow rotation for the arm and base. You should be using the longer peg end and attaching the extension piece in order to display the air tanks for The World since the default peg has trouble holding him there with it.

The smaller end is for the base but if you have issues keeping it there then you may need to devise an alternative. Or maybe you didn't push it in far enough to make a solid fit.

True, the ending even brings all the Crusaders back to life. If they make another game with an original story, it'll probably be set in this separate video game-exclusive continuity, but using Part 4 as the initial setting like this one used Part 3. Kinda neat.

Same here bro. By far my favorite characters from part 4. The figures are great and come with a lot of little quirks. You can find them on Mandy for 2500 jpy usually.

Probably waiting on a special edition to pass it off as an exclusive. They know the property they've got and it would tempt sales. Though WF Jolyne was a big ball they dropped and retouching King Crimson Blue ver. with those accents instead of the original artwork's greens was a letdown. Medicos is an odd company at times

Well we got Kira 1st/KQ1st(Don't expect the 2nd versions to be reissued), Josuke and Crazy Diamond, Jotaro and SP IV.

I'm banking on Okuyasu to be next or Koichi/Echoes. Rohan is sure to be reissued.

Hopefully Medicos can pull a new colorway for the anime when it airs. Jotaro 3rd was a pleasant surprise.

It's a retooling of an existing sculpt, not an all new sculpt. But a paint redeco hasn't been done before to my knowledge.

Hey guys, I got a question about the Diavolo SAS. you know how the alternate, smiling head, is supposed to mimic the part in the manga where Diavolo gets pierced by the arrow, and his pupils are all cracked/shattered up? The SAS alternate head has indeed the pupils cracked, but it just seems to me that from far away one of the pupils looks significantly smaller than the other, which really bugs me. Wasn't there an anon about two years ago that went ahead and painted the eyes to be a solid color, similar to the normal head? does anyone have any pictures of what it looked like, or any advice?

Buy a cheap hairdryer. Since it's made for direct application to exposed human anatomy the heat never gets anywhere near the melting point for thermoplastics. Heatguns are nowhere near as regulated in terms of temps produced.

Eh. Ive used it plenty of times loosening Necas and other models if I need to do a quick dry. As long as I keep distance and regulate. The melting point of most plastics and vinyls used in toys between 150-250 degrees and the basic setting of my gun is 225.

Been some time since I bought from Mandy but usually if a figure has a physical problem they have a photo showing it off rather than just general shots of the box that they do for most listings. I don't recall ever seeing burned before but then again sometimes my browser translates pages from time to time.

Also both shipped from the same store? $55 sounds like a solid deal for two.

Also make sure Josuke and CD are coming from the same spot since I think it allows for combined shipping.

I guess you may be safe since some Mandarake descriptions mean nothing for the figure condition. Japanese collectors are super anal about that stuff to the point a small dent on a box is equal to "severe" damage and 1000 yen cut off the price.

Eeven saw some listings for rare SAS with a tobacco smell for cheap but that's an extreme case.

The colorway is really nice but he is pretty pricy and rare. I got mines at 8500 but given how quickly he sells out it's tough for all the current prices. Especially if all you want is the smirking head.

If money isn't too much of an issue you can wait and see if one shows up. Medicos went there when making him seeing his skin tone is much lighter and all the colors just make him stand out. Not sure where his current rate goes now and how quickly that gets bought up on Mandarake.

I do advise looking into other sites like Jungle or Terraformer as a means to hunt down rarer SAS's since I've seen stock go untouched longer. Try to setup a Figinstock notification for sold out listings but I think Mandarake has an alert system now for that on its site.

Beyond that, he's definitely something you should add to your collection.

My biggest issue with blue Joseph is that there isn't really any time at which he had that colour scheme. Would rather the blue Joseph had been a purple one.

Nah, they'll do a standard colors and keep the special ones behind WF or a later down the line 2nd or 3rd or even a limited edition.

Also wasn't blue Joseph a common color choice in certain artworks from Araki? Medicos usually chooses these colors from those.

I think it's more due to the fact that (at least for me) the clear figures are somewhat unique in their own right, whereas the crystal ones are an existing figure in an existing colourway, just with crystals. I dunno, just doesn't have the same impact.

I went with Silver Chariot. He's a solid figure with pretty good articulation and he comes in a few different colors which are all nice. He also rarely goes for more than 3000 on mandy which is nice, and there's plenty of him floating around.

I'm not really bothered by the neck honestly so it's tough to gauge for you. For reference I managed to get the heads all the way down the ball peg so it's not an accidental giraffe neck look. On hand it looks okay, not sure which part of the neck is getting to you.

Though I did notice anon's mentioning how the necks bothered them back then so it's not new to me.

Pretty good. I have the original release so I'm not sure if they fixed this but the side parts of his uniform tend to fall off easily. Other than that he's one my favorites both as a character and as an SAS.

What really holds him back on being my favorite Joestar SAS is the lack of this face when he discovers Kira Yoshikage's true identity. RAH's are like this oddity to me since they get certain accessories that SAS's won't get. Though I figure it's due to the larger price range and bigger scale.

Just be mega careful on attaching his jewelry parts (The J for his chest likes to fly off)

Got DIO in today.

His legs are kinda off. His feet were fucked up too and quite rigidly set in an angle that made them very unnatural. Managed to very carefully make them rest like 90% properly though. You can see how they were in this pic. His knees and the ball joints connecting his legs to his groin are fairly limiting too.

Rest of it is largely sound though. He does sort of lean off center on his base though.

All in all, my Josuke 4 and Crazy D are better quality than DIO in my opinion.

Got a World coming very shortly, should only be a day or two because he dispatched a day or two later than DIO and then a Josuke 8 and S&W in a month or so.

I got Josuke 2nd the other day from Mandy and he has that weird doublechode neck. God, I love the color scheme and all, but that neck is just jarring to me. He was still sealed, surprisingly, but his head was loose on the peg in transit. He's tricky to pose, as his posing is limited due to his suit design, but still an all around fun figure.

Are you using the Japanese or the English registration site?
"Reading" means the way the kanji in someone's name is read and a "prefecture" is like a district, or a province.

This seems to be a plague with the figure. The left ankle joint rotates solo it's fine I dont know why they all ship like that. I had the same problem and lived with it for a month until I realized that was possible. If paranoid just warm it up a bit.

Diego is sure to meet a release unless Medicos just wants to push out Johnny, Gyro, and Valentine with their respective stands and refocus efforts on different series and recolors.

Low expectations now for an FF SAS and I'm not sure on Emporio.

Well RAH's are fairly larger in scale and some are limited editions like Part 6 Jotaro. Not to mention the use of cloth for the material on the figure. I know Gyro is a little easier to find and not that bad on the wallet compared to certain RAH's.

Some of them were exclusives yeah. Part 6 Jotaro and Weather Report come to mind. Any stand was a mail away exclusive by buying the user and sending off for them, which explains why they are expensive.

The rest are just RAH typically being made in small numbers and thus scarce.

He's definitely a much higher quality than DIO, better sculpted and more posable. I didn't get one with the wonky eyes either, luckily for me.

DIO is as close as I can get him to vol 27's cover without breaking or pushing too far. TW is just punching. I guess I need a Kakyoin to hang off the end of his arm?

RAHs are always expensive, but the Jojo ones were made years and years ago and like Wond said, mostly exclusive to certain actions.
They're really good quality though, come with cool shit, and are fucking huge since they're technically balled dolls iirc.
