You do make a good point that other peoples excitement can taint a series though, I forgot to consider that. It can feel overwhelming and completely ruin the experience.
Fans aren't the media though. As someone who collects toys I feel that you should be able to understand that. Not every toy collector is a mouth breathing, paint huffing, hot wheel molesting, creep with zero social skills and none of us stop our hobby just because of the public perception of us.
I concede that One Punch Man and those other shows and games you guys are upset with may not be for you, or me, or maybe none of us in this thread but that shouldn't be because of who does or doesn't like them. We should try to have our own opinions on things instead of trying to be a hivemind that either loves or hates a thing based on what group enjoys it
