As I own a set, the guns are pretty meh. The best uses are obviously as hands and feet. The gun feature in the feet was not well done. More than a few people have had to deal with the feet separating too easily. It may just be one problem listed, but it's a big deal.

One, it locks in, as it should, it's just not executed very well.

It's not awful, it could be better.

The more glaring issue are his massive upper arms which make his shoulders shit.

Issues are it barely locks in (or just doesn't), and that it's floppy, and aesthetically looks bad. Fanmodes can fix it, but the toy itself is flawed as fuck due to the waist that never should've made it out of the prototype stage, let alone production.

I'm slightly bummed out that there's no third party CW limbs. It looks like Hasbro and Takara have done all the new molds they're gonna do, and there's still plenty of characters and teams left out. Seems like the playing field's all softened up for any enterprising company that wants to come along and do something interesting.

They're actually releasing it as a regular thing as well. I was the guy that posted about some of the newer stuff and I've seen how they're doing the other Computron parts and even I told the guy that showed me how stupid they all look. They're mostly repaints and Afterburner seemed like a remold of the Deluxe Groove mold. It was so dumb that its something Hasbro would do.

So I didn't really want Vortex, but needed 4 limbs for galvatronus. Went by a wal Mart tonight and amongst the protectobots and autobots I found an Off-road. Mind you I don't own any of the stunticons and I liked first aid so thought I'd go for it cause the colors are cool too.

Well wal Mart was shit on cashiers and heavy on customers tonight so the check out line was quite a process especially since they switched out cashiers halfway through the line.

Anyways I get up there with off-road and the rest of the stuff I'm buying and pay without thinking.

Walking out I wondered if I had heard correctly when he gave me the price.

The guy didn't charge me for off road. I know I heard it scan and all that.

So I got a free limb. The nearly 20 minute wait in line was worth it.

Can't wait to find the combaticons I do want.

That's why I've heard people say they will mix and match the UW Defensor to the CW Defensor parts cause some of them are saying that CW Hotspot is just better color and paint overall than the UW Hotspot. It's the case of hit and miss.

I can understand why the hate for the comics, they're made to appeal to a wide diverse audience, including tumblr people and most of us here hate those sorts.

I'm simply not too fussed, some of the designs from the current comics look good even when they have the most basic of art, gives me the old morning saturday cartoon vibe.

A lot of people shit on the simplified and hollow toys of recent, but I understand Hasbro's reasons personally. What I am less forgiving of is the huge design oversights you seem to get with quite a few recent transformers. Like Brawl's waist, Menasor's chest, the unforgiving ratchets that limit articulation, the Dead End mold having slots that are too big to hold anything, etc. It echoes of a chinese KO. I don't mind more simplistic designs if it looks good, I actually like the majority of CW limbs, but it's these technical issues that really bother me and I'm waiting for the day GPS returns in full force.

Damn qc though seems to be getting worse though I noticed, I know the hasbro ones are usually shit compared to takara ones, but this thundercracker just feels amazing since the previous owner kept him just like this, sunstorm was good, acidstorm despite being sent loose from another country handled beautifully.

My starscream however is shit, I swear the plastic feels weaker and the fact that I have to pry his chest apart to drop the jet canopy between for robot mode unlike the others who are just slide and go annoys me.

But this set is nearly complete and no point stopping now, just need hasbroskywarp, only issue with the hasbro mp seekers is thundercracker and I can just remove the tampo prints if they piss me off too much.

BTW the head is glossy on this thundercracker, is that painted or just gloss injected plastic?

UW is g1 accurate which comes off as bland compared to the CW, the toy has molded detail which evokes the sticker detail.

UW leaves this blank but retails the detail making it look like they missed a paint app, the only thing the UW has going for it is its brighter colors.

They should've used Cybertron molds, though I guess the point was to find an use for the 2010 stuff in the Japanese market. Either way, a lot of cybertron figures resembled Brave aesthetics; and especially if they got some minor remolding(or clever painting) you could have a whole new Brave line.

Motormaster as a solo robot is actually fine. I like his shameless blocky look. It's when he's a torso when things start to hit a snag. As a torso he has the proportions of a butch lesbian and you can't exactly lift his legs up since you'd have to move the crotch plate and that serves to make things look even weirder. I'm aware there are alternate configurations for his legs, and I usually do that when I'm displaying him. I just get the feeling they didn't put a lot of effort into that mode. And the leg configs and upgrade kits go to show that.

Speaking of butch lesbian, maybe Vicky should have used the Motormaster mold for the torso? ohohohohoho

Abominus just got made. As a Cyberverse combiner. And they tested resizing the Cyberverse figures in question, so it's only a matter of time before we get them re-released as a non-Scramble City combiner team. Most likely as Titan War filler ala the Technobots.

Predaking can't be done because it would require a one use only fucking Titan sized combiner. ZERO retool potential and worse, since unlike the Constructicons, there are ZERO cannon repaints they can do of the Predacons. So it's not doable at all.

I know Strafe is a straight repainted Airraid.
Lightspeed is a repainted Deadend, which is lame because Wheeljack would actually be a better fit for car mode.
Nosecone is the Brawl mold with the tooling Funpub is using for Ramhorn.
Afterburner is the deluxe Groove, heavily modified to remove all his transparent plastic.

Predaking was the original TITAN combiner.

He's both the biggest Gesalt of the combiners AND biggest one canon-wise in terms of scale.

Also, unlike the Constructicons, Predaking's limbs were originally VOYAGER sized in the original G1 line. And they were NOT scramble style combiners. Meaning they were only for the purpose of making Predaking.

As such, those things need to be fucking honored when they produce a brand new version of him. Meaning he will be INCOMPATIBLE with the rest of the CW line AND fucking be as big as if not TALLER than Devestator.

Predaking needs to be like Devestator. Unique molds, huge scale, and each member of the team Voyager size.

If it means waiting four-five years for Hasbro to have the money and means to do the Predacons right, it will be worth the wait. I don't want to see a bunch of god-awful butchered versions of the group, that barely resemble the characters, created solely that they can be frankensteined into the equally barely resembling Terrorcons or Pretender Monsters.

I don't get why people thought he was so massive, its been awhile but I don't remember him out-sizing other combiners, I got more memories of him just being smacked around by skylynx than him being the biggest combiner.

It makes for a more epic confrontation between him and a team of Autobot Combiners.
