Arwings xings and more! Post about starfighter toys!

I like this design for an upgraded xqing, more than the t-70, anyone have ideas in how to do this to a titanium series xwing?

Thats a really arbitrary price difference IMHO, I just bought a 6" pilot today, so I probably wont buy the tie fighter since I wasn't ever really a fan of their appearance.

But the big tie is huuuge, and takes two pilots, if you have the room, and the skills to make the wings out of stiffer materials, (metal or wood) then it is worth it.

The models are nicely detailed even weather and washed. Only complaint would have to be the engines lacking glow paint apps. But that just me.

You can get them online cheaper then in game shops(just don't tell /tg/ that they will lose their minds).

Yeah, but at-least they can dip into the Expanded universe and Rebels now. I am looking at picking up Imperial Assault Carrier and the Ghost from Rebels when it comes out.

My favourite star fighter is definitely the Y Wing. It's just so majestic and sturdy and old-looking. My girlfriend got me the bandai model kit for it for Christmas and it's gorgeous.

I had the x wing, that came with the small concept art model. Back in the early 2000s. Thing was awesome, until my little cousin got a hold of it and broke of the canopy and lost r2.

I like the Y wing too, I also liked seeing it in the Clone Wars with it original hull plates. I can see why the rebel engineers went well fuck this extra shit, I am tired of taking off these plates after ever mission.

and the s-foils HAVE to work, it's wrong to have an xwing that can't do that.

While the only one I own currently is the deluxe Star Destroyer here, I've bought several of the other Disney Store diecasts (TFA X-Wings and FO TIEs) to give as gifts and they're really quite nice for the price as I tried swooshing them around for a bit after the recipients opened them, hehe. I want to buy some for myself, but I've already got multiple versions of the vehicles from other toy lines so I'm waiting on a sale.

If you have a Disney Store locally, they'll probably have the Y-Wing on the shelves as I've always seen it at my local Disney Store.

Does the y-wing have landing gear? I was considering the hallmark one because it lights up, but I would be good with the die cast one if it was well made with landing gear.

I still prefer the clone wars version, I like the smoothed armor look.

For the n-1? There were a few kits, might even be a bandai one, but all of them won't be shiny enough on the underside, and need more modeller work than a toy would provide.

Hallmark ornaments are good though, trim off the hanger and cord if they aren't removed already, and then you have a toy-like model with a pretty good quality.

The black series look nice, and the s foils move, but they don't really lock so everytime you pick them up the foils close and they are made of rubber.

Hot wheels are really nice, but s foils don't move and the plastic stands look ugly as sin. Wings are also rubber.

Still they are cheap and look nice.

Yeah, lol. I got it for $12 at Michaels art supply, I was pretty stoked. I just bought the bandai one yesterday can't wait to build it. I've been watching online tutorials on adding details to models gonna try them out on the rebel one this weekend.
