I bought two TR-8R's! I didn't know he was a specific character until I saw the movie! I assumed there would be a whole Riot Control squad, so I bought two of them for my S.H.Figuarts Star Wars collection!

TR-8R is only a "specific character" because the internet deemed him so. His gear is likely standard issue shit, it's unreasonable to expect that they would have issued those weapons to only ONE super duper special Stormtrooper. So yeah, there probably are riot squads in that universe. And even if not, who gives a fuck, you can have a riot squad in your collection.

Really? Because he is the only trooper to have even said "traitor". But I guess that doesn't matter on its own merrit because the only thing making him a specific trooper is the internet's will. He could never be a specific character without it.

That and the fact that the other villain were pretty underwhelming. If Phasma was as badass as they hyped her up to be, no one would have cared about TR-8R much. Hell, it probably would've been her in that fight.

I just think it is neat when "generic" troopers step up and have interesting scenes.

We're so used to faceless fodder guys being mowed down by the heroes, that having them sometimes have a little personality or skill is kind of unique.

I can see people just wanting one Riot Trooper just for that fact alone, because that guy had kind of a neat moment, and pretty much beat this shit outta Finn, but still ended up being taken out by a single blaster shot in the end.

As we told you the last three times you posted this. In the games and comic books there are squads of troopers that use that equipment. They will probably even be more of them in thw next movie. So calm the fuck down.
