Happy new Year! it's 6:02 AM and i got up in 2016!

Ok, Klocki time! I visit neighbour town! Got this stuff with other "new year shopping". Not that much but im planning to buy bigger sets later, saving money for those knights and etc.

1) tiny star wars set. Mostly for 4 troopers so i can use them in any random situations.
2) My favorite trio of mixels from this series. Totally one of my favorite Maxes
3) And FINALLY! halloween minifigs. Surprisingly - rare Cheerleader and Vampire lady were first ones i got. Funny because i mostly wanted regular ones - gargoyles and flies for army building, but that's ok, my houses lacking of interesting female characters.

here's model inspired by De Bazel in Amsterdam i posted here before. It's more loosely inspired by than a 1on1 model (there's too much detail for a small building to fit that's still doable in terms of cost)
Also futuristic space flavour because why not.

The bank piece was added later because De Bazel used to actually function as a bank for a while before it became an archive/exhibition space.

How about a Lego Racers game that's much like Mario Cart. Imagine carts for Technic, System, Dumplo, and CBBS lines. With each one you can slightly modify them for various attributes, or just style. Also Transparent Orange Chainsaw = Blue Shell.

So I used to have a pretty big lego collection when I was a kid. Had almost nothing but space stuff (ice planet, second gen space police and blacktron, spyrius(sp?) and knights. Fucking castles swords dragons and armor, fuck yeah. I spent many hours making all kinds of crazy high tech space knights...

Then I became an adult and did adult things like work and pay bills. After not even SEEING my lego collection for like 10 years my mom calls me up and asks me if I still want it or can she give it away to a friend's family with small children that recently lost everything in a house fire. I said sure, I'll never play with those again.

No big deal.

Now I have a 4 year old and we've been playing with lego together for about the past year and I've been buying pretty much nothing but City and Creator stuff, maybe half a dozen big pick a brick cups to get a good sized pile of basic blocks for building with...

And now there's Nexo Knights. Holy shit. It's everything my childhood collection was and MORE. I dropped about 100$ today buying a bunch of stuff from target cause they had em out a day early and I'm going to my local lego store tomorow to get more. I seriously haven't been this excited about lego in maybe 20 years.

Anyone else buying up all the nexo knight shit?

You can get treads onto gears using a bar and double axle technic connector, and then using the Hinge tool to mangle everything else vaguely into place.

Basically a lightsaber bar and pic related on the axle of the gear you're trying to attach treads to. After that you attach the other tread pieces via hinge tool.

The lightsaber bar can fit in the holes of the wide treads, and the treads can have 1x4+ tiles attached to them. Pretty useful.

If it were exclusive maybe, but it's just the torso and helmet from 70311 and legs from 70310, which are the two cheapest sets. Those figures are going to be like $2-3 each on Bricklink when the stores there start stocking up, and based on previous minifigs you should be able to make your own by buying just those parts for much less than that.

2013 undeniably. I always had some stuff fall off the two other ones and the cockpit bubbles are much better than the JSF piece. But the TCW one isn´t that much different so if you can´t get the 2013 one get the 2008 one. 2002 doesn´t count.

To get in on this debate I took the Incredible Cross sections book my relatives got me and made a moc up of a too scale snowspeeder. The speeder according to the book is 5.23 meters long which compared to Rey's speeder which is 3.37 meters makes the lego ones look more to scale than mine.

Yeah there's three store exclusives, I found out on Eurobricks. If you keep up with the threads there you will usually be pretty up to speed if you can handle their autism.

Anyway, the exclusives in wave 1 are:

Went to Target just for kicks this afternoon. The toy aisles were still pretty much devastated from X-mas. Open boxes and loose bags of parts on the shelves. Still, they had a few of the Nexo Knights and BvS sets out. I managed to find a couple of Elves sets and a City set on clearance.

Sorry for going back so far, and I am sorry I was not in the thread at the time this was asked, since I saw you got no good answer from the general.

You have two options. Either you install the motor in the same direction as the first powered engine (which would be backwards of what the booklet says), or you go and buy a PF polarity switch and string that to your IR Receiver and your motor. The switch acts like an isolated, independent version of the reverser switch found on the PF train controller.

Horizon Express is the shit, especially when it's extended, so I hope you get it to work right.

Like Gray-to-Bley, Lego has changed, over the years, its formula for brown bricks to reddish brown from plain brown.

The brick you seek exists in modern reddish brown. No problems there.

This is because LDD was intended to be used as a Legoland park builder's tool, and those guys can get batches of bricks they wanted ordered anytime in any color they like. Got a bit nostalgic and got this for christmas, not sure if i want to build it or return it. I know im going to enjoy the fuck out of building it, but itll probably just sit there for a few weeks afterwards until I tear it apart and put it back in a box.

If you aren't creating mocs then buying Lego isn't a hobby. You're just a collector. And you shouldn't be an entitled prick saying things like "he didn't post fucking instructions to his moc grrr". Lego collectors are literally at the bottom of the Lego hierarchy, right above Lego scalpers, and maybe MAYBE above minifig customizers. Collectors are overgrown man-children who probably masturbate to Lego YouTube reviews. Hobbyist's actually build mocs and don't just oogle at them and comment "pls post instructions." Honestly I feel sorry for you guys.

You can't just buy something, stick it on your shelf and call it a hobby. Hobby's are things you "work on". But you've probably never worked a day in your life have you? Do mommy and daddy still buy all your sets for you? And newsflash, Lego is a business they don't give two shits how much joy you get out of it and what you do with your bricks. If you honestly get joy from buying something and putting it on your shelf. That's the saddest fucking thing I've ever heard. If you get joy from using Lego bricks to build something on your own, put it on the shelf or internet and look at it and say "good for me that looks great". Then you are doing it a whole lot better.

I was just reading though the last thread to catch up, and I have to say, whoever posted this has many things wrong.

But I only have two points to make.

The Lego company is one of the highest quality toy manufacturers in the world. They are about quality before quantity. If Lego was about money and not quality, they wouldn't set the quality of the toys so high, and would just pump out some much cheaper toy that breaks in five minutes, but they don't. They listen to their customers and constantly try to improve on their products.

I personally prefer to stick to the City sets, and set them up on a large play table to play with. I like the simplicity in the City line because they have designed the sets to have playability, and when you sit back and look at the sets centered around the buildings, I personally am reminded of old wooden toys, or the big plastic buildings like in old He-man toy sets. I like building the bonestock sets, and I like to play with them. Sure, I also appreciate the high detail in some mocs and the more expensive sets but the simple sets have a dollhouse charm to them that I like, and see no reason to change.

I am 39 and still play with my legos

I rediscovered it last year and holy shit I'm glad it stayed in a trunk in a basement all these years. Look adults are allowed to play with shit like jigsaw puzzles right? her'es a puzzle with millions of piece/color combinations and the only end goal is build whatever YOU think is cool.

Wht the fuck is wrong/childish about that.

I make up storylines and worldbuild for my minifigs for instance my Classic Space guys are eternally on the run from evil aliens, I build spaceships and weapons for both sides, the only difference between now and when I was 12 is now I concentrate on building and getting on everything just right instead of throwing shit together and play with it; it makes for dioramas, the starfighters and mechs go on model stands and so on and so forth. oh and I have a fuckton more pieces to choose from, also so that aspect of it is even better

Build your fucking police sation, it looks pretty cool. Get some cars, pose one busting throught eh wall to rescue another crook; lego lends itslef nicely to building wreckage/damage

AND WHEN YOU TEAR IT APART BUILD SOMETHING ELSE

anybody esle miss lego boxes having alt-builds on the back? it's like people need to be hit over the head with the idea that these little plastic bits can go togehter in different ways

I'd like to try out this connection, but obviously LDD doesn't recognize it as a compatible attachment and I don't actually own the gun piece for myself, so I cant test it on my own with the real parts.

I'd be super grateful if one of you guys who own both the parts could test the connection for me and tell me how far it goes in and how sturdy the connection is.

I do play with my figs and stuff I build as I create a big universe since I was 6. And I removed the wheels because I thought they were too annoyingly visible, and found a nifty place to store the spare ammo containers, since the speeder itself is pretty crammed full of minifigs.

Overall, I'm pretty proud of this. I didn't exactly build an entire MOC, but I'm usually not creative enough to do much more than make a few tiny changes to existing sets.

Here's a pic of the internal construction of the head. Ideally I'd like to achieve a build that doesn't have that unsightly groove on the 1x1 tile and replace it with a 1x1 tile instead. That's why I asked about the pin/gun combination, I'm trying to work out how to invert that entire bottom assembly with the extremely limited amount of space that I have.

And I did try the connection you suggested, but I'm not actually sure if there's enough room to get a bar into that area. LDD is being extremely temperamental regarding the actual length of this bar, so I'm thinking I might just buy the pieces and test it for myself.

Basically, LDD's collision models are sometimes too simple for their own good, most of the time they don't treat the hollow spaces under bricks/plates as actually being hollow, so stuff that would easily fit IRL won't go.

I collect minifigures only - all LEGO minifigures since white pupils. The race for finding figures as cheap as possible is great fun. Shopping on Bricklink, combining the best deals, sniping on ebay etc.

The work behind it is huge especially when new stuff comes out.

It's a prototype B-Wing. This fits the story well - The prototype here is developed, and then by the time of the Battle of Yavin, it's hitting mass production.
