I've been stalking Mandarake for him. Recently got into Jojos. Only have a few thus far, some in the mail and I snagged a Giorno the other day.

I just really like that Rohan's design. Working on part 3's animation now.

ATM just have Jonathan, Dio from part 1, Joseph, Mista and Narancia. Caesar, Trish, alt color Mista and Giorno are in the mail. Have Fugo and Jotaro ordered from Amiami, but waiting to be invoiced for my monthly.

I want that Rohan and after that I'll probably pick up part 3 Dio.

There's a expensive/fancier, brown/purple/black rohan if you like him enough to get that. Only get the part 3 figures if you really like the cast of part 3, because a few of them have very poor areas of articulation, or at least not enough to recreate some of their crazier poses without some fooling around.

Oui. I only really like/tolerate Jotaro. I absolutely hated him at first, because Joseph was such a bad ass, likable dude. But he is growing on me. I think it's the orphan girl and his relationship.

I might get Josuke eventually. Doubt I'll buy anymore from part 4. Though it airing may change my mind.

Might break down and get all part 5. I like part five. I know the majority of people hate it. Mista's design really caught my attention early and I've read through a majority of it. However the scans I have are shit.

And back to the original question. I really like the white outfit/design. I have seen the color variant on Mandarake, but I'd rather have that white one.

Part 5 is tricky for me because while it was one of my least favorite parts, I really like the designs and didn't dislike the characters enough to not want them in my house. I think the only thing stopping me from getting a bunch of them is some kinda off looking figures and not great color choices. I think I'll probably end up grabbing purple haze though

You can wait out a few days or a week after the initial buyers and some guy will probably sell his later on at a Mandy storefront. Otherwise you can try your luck on Jungle or Terraformer (though I'm unsure how often they get SAS's)

WF GER sort of surprised me seeing how cheap he can get even with the Gio head. Lowest I saw Jolyne was 5k on Mandy. Though it will probably be bad if this particular colorway enters WF Giorno/WF Joseph territory for prices months afterward.

I got Esidisi first because it was the first one available. IMO in terms of quality Kars > Esidisi > Wham. Only thing Wham has is accessories. Esidisi is the better figure imo. He also seems to go up much less often than Wham. Kars is my favourite SAS so far.

I'm having a real hard time not throwing my wallet at Medicos for Part 4 Star Platinum and Jotaro, as well as Josuke and Crazy Diamond.

But I don't want to go down that pit of "I have these. Why not get more to go with them?"

For now, I'm sticking with good 'ol part 2 Joseph and investing all my money into a possible JoJo-tier Tokyo Ghoul line. (I hope.)

Anything you're looking for? They're generally good SAS's but S&W is pretty limited in articulation and the pipes along his elbows tend to pop off(at least on me) but you can't go wrong. It even has 2 sets of hands and 3 heads.

Josuke is okay but the one I have is more heavily tanned than any other SAS's. He does come with a lot of stuff like the Moichi's Yashuo gives him, the chess pieces from the Daiya chapter, and a cellphone. Pretty standard articulation but I do like the fact his shirt sort of moves along the midsection of his torso.

The newer boxes are glossier whereas the older ones are "matte"

Otherwise some postings on Mandarake may indicate with Joseph is the original or the reissue.

As for the figure the one thing that stands out immediately is the hermit purple hands has yellowish tips on it now.

Look at his hip joints. The older one has pegs that are inserted vertically into the waist, which is why so many people broke his hips because they weren't expecting articulation in that direction.

The newer one fixed the issue and gave him horizontal hip joints as you would expect from a figure.

The boiling water treatment worked! The worst looking arm was his right. Well soaking his right arm, the left bicep swivel starting moving. A little while later I got them both working. Lots of fussing with the right arm, but once I let it dry some, it started moving.

Quite honestly, I'm fine with PB Dio as is. I always thought using his SDC colors, or something similar to them looked awful on the PB clothing. Especially when it's all green and yellow, it doesn't look as good as how it works with his SDC outfit. (Though I will admit, PB anime Dio has the best clothes, it'd be nice to get something of that.)

But Dio is one of those figures I felt really let down about the accessories. As it's been said to death, it's a shame he didn't get a stone mask, that's kind of crazy. And I personally would have really loved to have had him come with a scarf.

And Pucci has that hat. I don't remember that ever being a thing in the manga, was it? Or maybe was it something on a cover? And even still, it looks like an odd hat, a bit big. He could've had a green baby.

For Pucci, part of me wants to just say "Fuck it" and get the RAH. At least he has both types of heads and a green baby.

I've heard jungle is pretty good as well but I've never used it myself. If you're patient they'll eventually show.

Quit pretending like SAS first issues never had QC issues. One guy posts about some problem and you all go batshit insane. Call me when it's tons of confirmed cases like black Dio and even he came out alright for me, it wasn't all of them.

The first release face wasn't good on Josuke either, look up old reviews. The hair thing is no different from any other SAS that didn't get a part glued on right. I can name dozens of releases where some poor soul got unlucky.

Fact is Josuke isn't rushed because his figure took a normal release spot and the new anime isn't even coming that soon so they could have pushed it back if necessary.

It's a ridiculous assumption. One case isn't even close to enough to make that determination. It's especially not enough to go around spreading hearsay that it's the worst release in the entire history of SAS.

These kinds of assumptions just get people all stressed out over nothing and might make someone skip a release they want out of irrational fear. Then later on they learn the release was perfectly fine and some reactionaries here screwed them out of a release.

There is nothing wrong with reporting specific issues a specific person had and posting specific pictures while clarifying "it's just this one guy so far" but that's not what people here are doing.

It's a flawless figure, really. Since it's painted like one airbrush color theres very little room for error. It's super great.

The toy gods give and they take away. At least Sticky Fingers, Giorno, and Rohan came in completely fine.

At this point, I'm waiting on Koichi, Magician's red, Silver Chariot, The Hand, the reissue Josuke, and Kars to come in.

Which means at that point, I just need Avdol to complete the stardust crusaders (really dunno if it's worth going through the trouble of buying Oldseph again), and echoes 2/3 to finish part 4, Wamu to finish the pillar men, and Gold experience for Giorno. At that point, I dunno if it's worth tracking down the rest of part 5 (don't like them as much, but they're all readily available and relatively cheap), or finishing up with young Johnny and Joseph.

I don't think much can be worse than Black DIO. I just got reissue Josuke, he's my 13th SAS, and I don't see him having any issues yet.

I've only had 2 accidents with my SAS figures, and one was Black DIO who snapped whenever I touched him, both at the waste and the leg, and I had a King Crimson who had an unfortunate fall breaking his arm.

I have a place near me called Image Anime but they price SAS's at $70+tax.

I own a lot of SAS and it's always been bad qc time for me. I'll just list the ones I like.
star platinum (part4 ver). a lot of SASfags hate his colors, and it'll probably get a rerelease as soon as the p4 anime starts so don't buy one just yet.
part2 joseph is a safe bet, it's amazing.
except I hate the all blue outfit so I got the recolor which is expensive.
purple haze looks stunning but it has an average range of motion.
gappy has a very dynamic sculpt but his headsculpt and skintone is horrid.
king crimson is excellent but a victim of derpy eyes.
jonathan is just as good as joseph.go for it.
the hand 2nd is great but the shading is fucked on mine.

Diavolo is fine though I heard issues about his eyes on the smiling head. Mines seems okay but I'm hardly looking at that detail too much. Shading on his body seems to vary on closer inspection but nothing deal breaking. Expect putting him in the sweater pose to be the biggest hurdle if you want that display.

Giorno is good but color preference will either make him a typical or expensive purchase (pink as his regular release vs his fantastic blue as a WF exclusive) Articulation is pretty standard and the mileage on his accessories will vary on you (never used the bread and lighter but messed around with the tea cup)

I only have WF Gold Experience but he's pretty cheap and color matches Giorno 1st really well. Big issue I noticed on mines was the peg for those straps on his waist came out but a small bit of glue made it fine again.

Part 4 Jotaro isn't the greatest for his articulation but I do like the backpack you can sling on his shoulder and the angry expression. Plus you can swap his hats which I thought was a nice addition given the design on each.

Are there any notable differences between the original release and the re-released version of The World? From what i noticed the original release tends to use a darker tone of paint and has a distinct line going from the eyes but i could be wrong. Anyone here actually owns both releases?
