>>5387535Takara when in doubt, make sure they're the mp11 type, aka mp11sw (skywarp) mp11t (thundercracker) mp11s (sunstorm).
Acidstorm is listed as mp11A but its a repackaged hasbro release, and starscream has 2 takara versions, the reissue and the original, you can't tell them apart until you look finer but a brand new mp11 now usually has a collectors coin with it, another tell tale are the heads, the takara seekers have painted gloss black heads, the reissue bucks the trend and has unpainted (which is better since where it transforms can scratch), the nose cone on the original is painted (its blue underneath apparently) while the reissue has it in the same color as the rest of starscream.
The hasbro seekers while getting progressively worse qc wise (my fucking starscream's chest is too tight, to transform him i need to pull the chest apart like im trying to tear him in half) although they're far cheaper and easier to get, thundercracker also better homages the original toy with tampo print markings on his thrust vents on the front.
AVOID the older releases (mp3 type), they have hip kibble which can be off putting but they look better in jet form because of them.
I'm a seeker fag, I'll answer any additional questions, just be aware the only takara release I own of the bunch isn't out yet, pic related.
Wasn't in the mood to pay $300+ for sunstorm takara version since I want the whole gang.
