Not many of 'em appeal to me, but few years ago, I picked up Chernabog on bargain-fueled impulse at a local used book shop. However, my brother gave me Songbird for Christmas, and I absolutely love the thing. Maybe it's the fact that it breaks up the sameysameness of the usual POPthing.

Jesus christ I didn't think the serious fanbase of these figures could get anymore autistic. I just buy these things because they look nice. I have them on a shelf at home, they look really cool, people who come over to my house really like them. (Like seriously, where else am I supposed to get good looking Breaking Bad or Pulp Fiction figures) People who seriously collect these things thinking you can resell them for thousands need to get a life. Yeah sure, some of the discontinued ones may be worth a bit more now. But actually caring about "EXCLUSIVE" stickers and collecting these things purposefully for resale value is just stupid. Buy them, take them out of the box, and just enjoy the look of the figures.

A local comic shop was one of the first to do this exclusive Funko shit. I usually avoided them in favor of others ones. Always seemed kinda overpriced and too touristy even if it was huge. Just recently they closed a second store and there are issues of hidden payments to managers and other possible tax problems. Plus a buncha employees are up in arms over various shit. There are 3 ways of becoming a Black Lantern.
1)Rings seek out and reanimate dead bodies into the corps, making them into zombies but with a semblance of intelligence and memories of who they used to be.
2) Living being who have been dead at some point in the past and resurrected can be conscripted by a ring.
3) Bites from Black Lanterns will slowly kill the victim/turn them into a Black Lantern.
The one Pop represents is from when Black Lantern Batman was able to exploit the emotional bond the JLA had with him to allow Black Lantern rings to conscript them on the spot. The more zombie like Black Lantern Superman everyone is familiar with is actually the reanimated Earth-2 Superman.

It's official. My first Smuggler's Bounty came with a flocked Chewie. While I usually hate these sorts of things, he's pretty neat looking.
It also came with a BB-8 patch, Poe collector's pin, a POP! C-3PO mug, and a t-shirt with the heroes of the new movie done up in POP! style.

Do people actually buy those limited edition or exclusive ones for hundreds of dollars? I have a Bilbo Baggings figure that I bought at Hot Topic and it came with the "exclusive" sticker. Now I go into the pop price guide and its worth over 100 dollars, what the fuck? The normal Bilbo without the spiderweb is actually more expensive on some sites. I'm not interested on selling him or anything but is this real? I mean why would anyone pay so much for a ten dollar pop. Who are they trying to scam? Are these things really that valuable for collectors? I mean they aren't any different to other pops The only thing it has going for it is the spiderweb that regular Bilbo doesn't have and I still can't figure out what the point of skyrocketing the prices is.
