Clearanced to hell and back then the price exploded after a tiny 3rd Party company made an add-on armor set. The scene hasn't been the same since.

Most high-end LEGO sets.

The old Modulars and some of the older UCS Star Wars sets that were all in the $200~$500 range are all worth thousands now.

Even some of the newer modulars that just retired a year or two ago are worth double (or more) their initial value.

Can't believe how much they go for now.

The only figures I can think of that skyrocketed to unbelievable prices are the SDCC Gohan and Goku figures. Don't those things go for literally 800-1000 bucks each?

I bought one of these for 12.99 due to TRU pricing error. Look her up on ebay and people are paying $90 for one. WTF? It's a Bandai America PR figure. The same with the Black Ranger and he's the only one I'm missing. Looks like I'll have to wait until whatever these PR collectors are on goes away.

Wow, funny story, I bought the movie White Ranger a few months ago with a coupon.I had the 6 Zyuranger Figuarts but lacked a White/Kibaranger, so I figured it'd fill a whole(even if it wouldn't fit in.). It ended up being so terrible I was almost ashamed I bought it when I didn't own the Figuarts. The next week I bought the first one I saw on my Figinstock alert. I love those movie designs, but those figures just don't do them justice. The Saba was almost as big as the Figuarts one!

Thus far, only success stories I have are buying a new Mitsunari Ishida Revo for 27 and selling him for sixty cause his box was pretty beat up this past November, and buying a BotCon Megazarak (Armada Megatron repaint) for $15 and selling it for $50.

I have far better stories on the deals I've gotten, if it helps.
