Diecast cars thread anyone, I guess larger models are ok since I see nothing of the sort?

Any die hards, casuals or people who...actually play with these on sets, even funny stories about how people go about ie scalpers in stores or at events?

I started collecting hawt wheelz and matchboxes again, I just dig their designs and price, shame matchbox and HW are basically the same thing now, I actually kinda miss the larger matchboxes, but I digress.

I have questions for more serious collectors, what's the production quantity of the treasure hunt/Super treasure hunt vehicles these days, I read older ones got up to what fifty thousand units or something but the number now is not only unknown but also larger, are they...even worth anything, I hardly see them although that would be the entire point right?

And is it worth keeping them in their boxes, pic related what what got me back into collecting until I found out WHY I could never see these damn corvettes, and then I found the new guy at work, don't like the design but you never know...course if he ain't worth shit I'll break him free but I don't even play so what's the point other than storage space?
