Okay, so there are a reasonable number of rich geeks in the world I suppose, but this still seems like a huge risk. It's not an iconic Batman suit, and when you're making an investment as large as a life-size figure, you kiiiinda want iconic in most cases. I mean, it's not really like smaller toys where you can easily afford to own a handful of them. Plus, the mold costs are gonna be ridiculous to recoup, much less turn a profit. Hot Toys isn't hurting for money I'm sure, but I still think this could be a huge disaster for them financially.
I bet the facesculpt will be spooky good now that they have a larger canvas to work with, buuuut then you realize you're going to have a 7 foot tall, hyper-realistic Ben Affleck in your house.
Lastly, is this thing actually gonna be poseable, or what? Nobody has specifically said anything about it. If so, cool, but at that size, balance and joint tolerances are gonna be a bitch, and lord fucking help you if you snap something.
