Ant man wave was full of Avenger characters. This just sucks. Comic Strange is pegwarming all over.

It's over six months later and I could go out right now and buy multiple full sets of the Ant-Man wave at both full and clearance prices if I wanted to. Those "Avengers characters" aren't prominent at all, so they've been hanging out in stores untouched. Line isn't dead or dying.

When the DC Universe figures were in stores it was pretty much just the wave in the OP picture and the Wal-Mart exclusive wave on shelves at the time, so the shelfwarming hurt them a lot more than it will Hasbro. You can get away with releasing a series like that when you have something else in high demand out in stores around the same period of time.

This is where I have to think the info. is wrong in some way. I'm sure there will be a Dr. Strange wave like that, but I can't see three figures of basically the same character in one wave. Maybe they'll pull a Mandroid wave and release the movie version later? Or the astral version will be released in an exclusive pack? No idea, but it seems odd. Guess we'll see at Toyfair.

While the Modok and Mojo waves were the worst sellers the line started slowing down even before that. I own a complete Sentinel and Onslaught only because I was able to buy them for clearance prices. At the time I was too young to afford a full wave otherwise.

I haven't seen a single Ant-Man on store shelves in months. Every other character I still come across (mostly Wasp and Grim Reaper) but Ant-Man disappeared in my area pretty quickly.
