Try a group buy. Or maybe keep an eye out on the BST. I'm considering buying a second box to sell piecemeal and keep what doesn't move so I feel better about spending so much on such a tiny thing.

It's not just that, if you look in the pictures you'll see some of the joints show a lot of wear and appear "hairy", which is kinda worrying for something that's been made just recently.
Hopefully those are just prototypes and the retail versions are made with better materials
