Nuparu and Jaller Mahri were exceptions since they were phasing red axles in during 2006/2007. Gali being the odd one out this year with black axles makes no sense, the fact it was introduced so that it makes kids find them easier is completely true, but Gali seems to go against that philosophy for no discernible reason, if it was to save color scheme it would have been much better to do so on the likes of Kopaka or Lewa, it really just doesnt make any sense.

There's a lot of colors and a lot of sizes for those colors that I wish existed but just don't.

Lego wants CCBS to basically be the "bricks" of constraction, but the difference is that almost all standard sizes of those come in colors from most of the lego palette, while CCBS shells are fairly limited. MOCing potential and the overall amount of possibility would increase drastically if they would create more shells in more colors, have most of the useful sizes in all of those colors, and for gods sake make an easy way to get a hold of them.

There's a real lack of variety in available shells and bones. If you want a shell in a color that isn't black, red, white or gunmetal then fuck you.

The one on the far left is nothing special and wont fetch much.
The White hau and trans-orange Kaukau would probably go for a fair sum, nothing huge, but for a piece of plastic a decent amount, the far right might also go for a bit. Gold Miru in the middle could sell well but it looks like it has the bent / stressed areas on both sides in a spot that is well-known for warping.

Can anyone help me find a specific bionicle I had a few years ago?

It was so long ago, I can only remember a few things about it but it was the first one I had and I would greatly appreciate any help.

You are going to have to be a BIT more specific, I can sort of try and guess that by Jamal you meant Jaller, but that still leaves two years, and I would need to have a GENERAL idea of what kind of shape it had, or what weapons, etc. There were a lot of years, and they all sorta followed a similar trend, so "small earth Bionicle" could mean a large number of things.

Toa of Iron (I know it's 4 perk points, but just seems hella useful)
Okoto
Staff and Shield (2 points for Extra Weapon, 1 for Weapon Split, and 1 for Alternate Transport so I can use them as almost anything)
Sanok (For using my weapons and metal generating powers to spam projectiles like crazy, 1 point for Mask Shape for something more pleasant looking)

Oh damn, I didn't notice that I got TWO companions!

Alright, Lihkor for Metal/Magnet Sheild Bro-team, and either Noma or Zula with the last point on the Spare Parts perk.

S'all right CYOA, only real issue I have is the Gender limitation on Toa powers, rather ham-fisted if you ask me.

Witch Doctor is the shit, and introduces some construction concepts that I had never considered prior to seeing it. Most of the bad guys beyond the first wave have cool faces with which to build with, though admittedly this appears to be weighted in favor of red and green. All the kaiju from Invasion from Below are cool, if hollow as shit, as are many of the mecha from that wave are rad as well.
There was a big zappy dragon guy too from one of the waves, he's good for parts but ass as a normal set.

The 2.0 wave has Drilldozer who has a unique body armor that works great for mocs with a torso joint.
Savage Planet has Raw Jaw who comes with a large variety of parts, ranging from tusks/wings over spiky armor to an armor shell that sadly doesn't get used anymore.
Brain Attack has Furno XL who is more or less a 2015 Tahu prototype, Stormer and Dragon Bolt.
Breakout as a whole was pretty damn great, as are the Invasion from Below mechs.

As for the first wave, they aren't worth it due to them still using old Bionicle parts, Av-Matoran designs and joints that break when you just look at them funny but if you need one then maybe Thunder, Corroder or/and Meltdown.

Nigger the concept of HF is mass produced heroes catch bad guys around a galaxy and solve environmental problems.

Meanwhile Bionicle G2 is about 6 six elemental heroes that share and ancient forgotten mystery on an island that is falling to the grips of an evil spirit, the heroes have to solve myths and travel in crypts and ancient forgotten places to stop this evil by claiming old forgotten artifacts.

But the storytelling is sometimes so straightforward you don't get these differences.

HF (and all the sub lines like the super heroes, Chima figs and more or less parts of the Star Wars sets) relied heavily on the CCBS building system and had quite a lot of shells, bones and armor add-ons that often came and went.
It was mainly a pure construction line to show off the versatility of the new parts and system, with gear and action functions taking a backseat for most of the time or being relatively simple.

Meanwhile, Bionicle 15/16 seems to rely mostly on the most basic shells and bones (no engine blocks, Drilldozer armor, those trapezoid-shaped armors, etc.) while going back to more Technic-heavy builds and functions.

After a month all Bionicle sets here (North-East Italy), in one of the malls I regularly visit, have been sold out, all except:

The SW sets? One Kylo and seven Rey are left. Poe and Finn are almost untouched.

It seems Phasma and the FO Stormtrooper weren't even stocked, it might've been the same for Kopaka and Umarak since I've never seen them here.

>Perks (16p)
-Rare Element (-4p). For Magnetism.
-Extra Weapon (-2p). For the shield.
-Gearbox (-2p). Attacking faster is useful.
-Weapon Split (-1p). Shield can split in half and attach to the axe head for increased weight and lethality - not that Toa kill. But more powerful nonetheless. Will be a true 2 handed weapon.
-Vehicle (-3p). I am owning a ship. Will be armed with a couple of cannons and fit for 3 Toa, but nothing will be that spectacular about it.
-Mask Quest (-4p). A scuffle with the Dark Hunters could lead to Voporak, and whatever leads to Voporak leads to the Vahi. With The Shadowed One operating from places unknown, we could just reclaim the mask before it gets to him.

>Drawbacks
-Hunted (+6p). Dark hunters can go fuck themselves, I have magnetism and I'm on the high seas. They started it

Cool Golden Protector dude. Comes with a sickass mask that doesn't really fit him, but it's cool nonetheless.

The hammer is fun to mess around with, his gear function makes sense, and he has a surprisingly excellent shield.

He even comes with a free Skeleton dude to fight.

Well I'd put a bit more effort into it, hence cannibalizing non-skelly gunmetal bones from other sets...
Biggest issue is the Shield, only thing I could use is Tahu Lava Board, but I don't know what to replace the flame bits with.

Kopaka is very fun out of the box for me, but melum is pure and utter shit. Tahu is less fun by himself but the combination is pretty cool. I would take kopaka first if you just want a good figure or Tahu if you want a to begin with a good combination.

That's because it's in Staff mode, and is literally just the top of Kulta's Mask Stealer Staff minus the ax heads stuck onto the Skull Warrior Ice Spear.

As a Toa of Iron, I figured he could use his metal powers to alter, extend, or even detach the tip for whatever he needed.

Actually, the scrawny look was kinda intentional, I'm kinda a skeleton in real life, so I figured Toa me would at least have the same bony wrist...
The lower legs weren't suppose to be skeletal, but I'm working with a limited amount of parts and didn't have any metal/silver bones that would still work with those feet.
The lack of parts is also why he's on the small side; All the longer solid colored bones are BLACK, and with his scrawny build I didn't want that throwing off his color scheme.

Well it's not like I couldn't make it better, I just don't especially have the urge to buy a bunch of CCBS parts to improve a spur of the moment Toa-sona...

In the best of all worlds, I'd give it solid tr. bright green lightning bits, but as it stands the blue-green-yellow fade ones are the only ones that mesh with the set to any extent.

Basically, I'd take you guys' suggestions in a heartbeat, but I just ain't got the parts what with to do it.

You lack imagination. It is precisely because he is a skeleton lord with barely any notable character that makes him interesting. It's interesting where he came from and what he actually does. To me it seems he was clearly of Umarak level importance to Makuta seeing that he was entrusted to deal with the MoCr and that the skeleton army - which looks to be the current bulk of Makuta's forces - is now depowered and needs to be reanimated and controlled by the scattered skull spiders without him.

It would be different if they actually TOLD us his origins, but at this point he's old news, so who knows if they ever will? You're making baseless assumptions and filling in gaps, which doesn't reinforce what we actually know about the character at all; it's basically fan fiction. I shouldn't have to rely on my imagination to enjoy or understand a character, because that's shitty writing. Going off nothing but official materials, we know jack shit about Kulta beyond the fact that he's "super strong, works for Makuta, and controls/animates the skeleton army." Everything else is just bullshit head canon from people like you.

In fact, with a single paragraph of backstory and only few small clips from game cutscenes and cartoon trailers, Umarak is already leagues and bounds more interesting than Kulta ever was, and may ever be.

Everything I wrote there is a sensible assumption based on everything we so far know about Makuta's forces, dipshit. None of it is fanfiction. I didn't say 'Kulta is a fallen hero from the ancient capital Xeresbes who watched his friends die in front of him and so gained legendary powers over blood and shadow and death and evil after he cried real hard from his rage' like you do with all your self MOCs. It is literally said that Makuta told him to go destroy the MoCr which puts him on par with Umarak who was entrusted to find the other equally important mask. The skull warriors we've seen from JtO so far are all non-trans gunmetal/brown so are depowered and have skull spiders on their faces. Because Kulta was JUST defeated and made maskless we can assume his defeat is why they are in that state.

2015 was a very barebones year but a fucking child (maybe a bit older than you) could infer this from what we have seen so far.

We have no fucking clue how big of an influence Makuta had over Grinder. He could have been a mindless puppet. Likewise, we don't know how much involvement the big bad has with Umarak's intentions at all; he could just want the MoCtrl for himself. So claiming the two villains are on equal ground and suggesting any level of trust between Makuta and either of them is ridiculous because all of it is so vague and undefined.

I've got no idea why you're going on about the skull warriors lacking the control of their master, because that shit is obvious and has absolutely nothing to do with the argument here, which leads me to believe you're completely missing the point.

Back to what matters: knowing little about a character CAN be interesting, but should only be defined that way if what we DO know about them is worth a damn. He has done nothing yet to make me care about his brief motivation because as far as we could see, he was JUST a pawn of Makuta with immense power. There is interest in the mysteries behind the exact connection to his master and where he attained such power, but my argument is NOT that he's completely UN-interesting. It's that there are other characters far more interesting than him by comparison.

Seeing as his bio says he is the creator and lord of the skull army and seeing as Ekimu and him talk to each other, you are also the one engaging in baseless unsupported theorising by suggesting he is a thrall. I've never said that Kulta and Umarak are the same kind of creature or Makuta literally ranked them as equals, just that they had equal tasks. The MoCr and MoCo are equally important masks. This is not arguable, so don't reply with your retarded fanfiction argument.

Anyway, beyond that, you were searching for a reason that people thought Kulta was interesting so I supplied you with a reason. If you want me to explicitly state it again it is based on his role and relation to everything in the story. Quite frankly I don't give a shit if you're to braindead to think a little about that and want to continue repeating that you don't like Kulta's personality like it's somehow related. I care even less about your English Major theories on what makes a character interesting. But, some people have thought about it and that's why they find him interesting. I can totally understand anyone not liking the gold since the natural idea would be to replace it all with a colder (no pun intended) colour, but I really want Kopaka to be gold. The advantage though, is that if you want to do what I did with silver, you totally can, since every piece here has a silver variant.

Okay, completely reworked the lower crotch. Hips are now a tiny bit narrower and a lot more mobile. Using the CCBS double socket is much more stable and space economic than using two single sockets. Who knew?

If it's the 2003 set, I guess it had to do with where it was stored? Cardboard isn't exactly airtight. All I know for sure is that my old white parts are as white as old white plastic can be.

Inika killed my interest in Bionicle until Stars. I know I missed out on a lot of cool stuff back then, but my god were the Inika masks and launchers fucking stupid for the series. The Mahri designs are better in every way.

Iron, akaku, propellers, mahri nui, druki and yandu, with the rare element, alt travel, extra weapon (nynrah spook shooter), and exo toa perks.

This is fantastic, you could turn this into a pretty effective toa hero generator.

Maybe add a range of colour schemes for each toa class, as well a number for each object in each section. Then people could manuallly generate a new toa with a random number generator.

Maybe make it compatible with an rpg system.

I'm going to make my new toa now.
