Found some of my old Micro Machine toys a few days ago and remembered how much fun I had with them as a kid. Did anyone else ever go out in their back yard and conduct any top secret covert ops?

Micro Machines in Star Wars form are available now but the quality is worse.

Nothing was banned, considering there are tons of toys released right now that come with pieces the same size.
Only lawsuits happen, which can get toys pulled from the shelves, but obviously, that doesn't prevent things the same size from being released anyway.
Things just got canceled because they weren't selling.

After Hasbro killed the Joe line Military Micro Machines became my main thing. Still have a bunch I bought in a fit of nostalgia around a decade ago. I recall the prices on the secondary for some of the more desirable models being a bit absurd at the time.

Hasbro's failed G.I. Joe-branded repaints and the half-a-dozen themed packs a couple of years after just didn't have the same charm.

I played with these guys when I was a kid, and when I got older and into Gundam I got a few action figures. The scale seemed about right so I had my Micro Machines troops support the Gundams who had to fight other giant robots... and Godzilla. It was a good time.

They are about 1/144 scale, aren't they?
One of the more interesting teams in Gundam Build Fighters used a micro-machine scale demolition squad deployed from their Gunpla to booby trap their opponents model.
Made me wonder how awesome table top wargaming must be in that universe.

I loved these things. The ice blue one and the green one with the rubber tentacles were my favorites. As a kid I tried to write up a whole miniatures game around these sets, but I got hung up on the line of sight rules.
