>>5475210>Well that idea looks pretty stupid. What is it even from?
When SpiderGwen got popular they did a bunch of alternate covers with Gwen as different superheroes. Naturally Gwenpool got popular and they ended up making her appear in a few issues of Howard the Duck and one Holiday Special and now she's scheduled for an ongoing of her own.
Luckily, they got a great team on her that somehow made her a brilliant character. The idea is essentially that she's from a universe where Marvel comics exist. When she gets transported to the Marvel universe she decides that the only way to avoid being killed is to make herself a popular character, so she rips off Spider-Gwen and Deadpool. Then she takes a whack at being a mercenary, relying on her knowledge of comics and faith in plot armor. Since she's aware she's in a comic, she doesn't care much about the lives of "fictional" people and regularly breaks the fourth wall, which makes her look like an insane sociopath to people in-universe.
