>>5482593I just bought the complete lot of all the releases so far, can't wait for Wave 3. it is probably the only line that covers fighters, large fighters and 3-4 classes of capital ship sizes in reasonable relative scale,
Mostly, with say 1/144, 1/72 we only get fighters + large fighters and rarely ground vehicles. 1/48 we get some ground vehicles and fighters.
X-Wing miniatures covers small ships, large ships(Slave I etc) and 100m class huge ships(Transports and Corvettes).
Speaking of 1/144, it turns out that the upcoming Bandai Mecha Colle X-Wing is 1/144 scale at 8.5cm, that means the likes of TIEs and the other Rebel fighters should be made to scale as well if they feel like it, and this nicely matches up with their 1/144 Slave I and Millennium Falcon. However, if they were to release a Mecha Colle Snowspeeder, they would need to make it a twin pack like the F-toys one to maintain the standard volume of the kit.
Dragon Model seems to be dead with their 1/144 plans now. They got a 1/35 AT-ST teased on twitter instead, and maybe even a 1/35 Snowspeeder.
