"Hurting" your Childhood Toys

No.5475697 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Does anyone else get worried and really anxious when people handle your personal sentimental toys/plushies/whatever?

My new roommate grabbed an old stuffed Dog of my cabinet, and just kinda started to twirl it around by the foot. I know it was no big deal but the kid inside me was just s c r e a m i n g "Oh no! Hes hurting him! Stop it!"

He later then tossed it back where it was, and I couldnt hold back hugging it once he left the room, as if to "make it feel better", to which then I just put it back on its little cabinet, to sit for more years.

Is that considered 'weird'? Ive never really been afraid to admit it to friends. A lot of the toys or plush Ive kept have special value, like the dog in this story, came from my now-dead-father when I was 8.

Anyone else got stories?
