Always loved this Batmobile design. Glad they finally let me use it as DLC in Arkham Knight. I'm not sure if the cars have different specs, but this one seems stupidly fast and hard to control.

Question for any serious/semi serious hot wheels collectors.

With the treasure hunt cars, are they that rare, I noticed (working in a supermarket that stocks them) cartons of the short cards contain one treasure hunt, long cards seemingly hold 2 (can't confirm, just noticed each time stores with them restock they get 2 th's but they have more display space so perhaps they get more in)?

Not even asking about the supers after some of the stories I've heard.

And ...do they hold any value inside their boxes if they're mint or do I need to hold them for a gazillion years?

Just wondering If I can collect them seriously or not, the main lines I only grab what I like but when I found out my corvette grandsport was a th it got me thinking...

Also , tomica, pic related, 1/64 scale is hot wheels if I'm not mistaken, but would something like this be too jarring besides say a regular hot wheels supra or would most people ignore the difference?

Enjoying Hot Wheels is suffering. So many scalpers. There's a guy in my area that literally pays off the toy department guy to not put out stock. Really want the new 180sx and Integra but i'll never find them. Along with these. Fucking sucks.

Maybe find evidence of this and bring it up with his management, because unless the scalper is just buying them behind closed doors that's dodgy as fuck and bad for business.

Plus (least in my work) retailers can't just sell in bulk like that, its retail, not wholesale.

Its funny though, some of my customers at my work seen me doing hot wheels runs and they know me as a collector who sells online, just glad one brought it up to stop the scalping bit

I might be too late to the party. But I'm a car enthusiast and recently gotten to toy collecting through one of my other interests (Transformers). Am I too late to get into Hot Wheels? Also, how do you guys display them, sealed and carded?

Both here, main lines out of the box with "special" ones boxed and carded, for now those remain in a storage bin until I can hang them somewhere nice while the main lines sit in clear containers ready for display.

My special ones are treasure hunts, "themed" sets like the batman ones and ones that are fictional yet recognizable ie the back to the future delorean.

I initially planned on scalping but to look on ebay and to sell a car that's worth currently less than its shipping stopped me, now its just sheer autism that keeps the rare variants inside their boxes

I steered away from hotwheels in 2011. My Main collection years were 1996 to 2001, got huge stocks of 1969 - 2002 hot wheels back then.

When Hot Wheels started to get really popular here in Mexico, people started scalping the fuck out of them for monetary purposes and it got boring to pay 10 bucks for a thing I could've find for 1 buck if everybody played nice, so I dropped off.

Now I collect M2 machines, theyr prices, even resalling ones are fair enough. Right now I'm trying to bring this baby home. Just waiting on a reply to my offer.

Does anybody know of a good Plymouth Superbird casting that is not johnny lightning?
