I feel like it would make more sense to make MMPR and Ninja Steel itself to both promote the new show as well as the line, but if they want to make it a Legacy line first and foremost (as opposed to what Legends actually does, which is introduce characters regardless of generation) then they can do that.
If I'm concerned about anything it's the size. Last I read is that they weren't even thinking of having the characters' weapons come with them. That's just stupid. If they had all the weapons in the sixth Ranger then that's a marketing ploy, though a fairly smart one. I would say drop the size to a fair 6", keep the Zords as tall as they can, include weapons with each, then give the sixth combination weapons and other extras that accentuate all the characters or even Zord (assuming the weapons couldn't combine on their own).
Another reason the size needs to drop is because if they're already thinking of cutting accessories to make cost, why not drop an unnecessary factor (that extra size that differentiates them in a meaningless way) that will contribute to cost while making sure these figures are actually as good as they can be individually and as a whole.
The idea of this line, I feel, does have potential. I definitely want to see where they can take it and I'm quite excited to actually see them. Hopefully all the articulation is there, like double elbows and knees, ankle rockers, swivels in the thighs and biceps, etc, all with good range. If the Rangers look good, the BaZ (build a zord) looks good, (good sculpted detail, no screws on their backs, etc) they all move well, etc, then this will definitely be a line I collect. A bit of a tall order, but one that if they actually want to "make every single Ranger", then they'll have to follow this or something like it to make that happen.
