The metallic paint will definitely change, since hand painted prototypes almost always use different metallic paints used in China. So it usually ends up looking better in the production version
I think the most telling part is the fucking elite face. It's three whole paint apps, on a flesh colored plastic head, and it just looks cheapo as fuck.
McFarlane's was fully painted, so even in bright light it doesn't have that cheap glossy look and more like actual flesh. Everything about the head was complexly painted, in the correct colors, and given a wash.
