I don't outwardly disagree with any of the choices, though perhaps a better quote for motoro and terry could be used. Motoro's feels too similar to jallar, and teridax's doesn't really give insight to the evil part of his nature. I'd also argue that Malum is a little too close to chaotic neutral, especially considering he's pretty much an exiled barbarian king, but I can't really think of a true neutral character in the setting that would be easily recognizable.

A broken mess of a one, but Bahrag nonetheless. I have some things I need coming in the mail, and I still need to locate a BL store that has everything else.

And yes, I'll do Cahdok as well. The bags where I kept the parts were getting bit too full and I had to do this to free up space. Gahdok was the more complete one

Well now I have the lights to go with my action. But I still don't have a real camera tho.

But seriously, light boxes are nice. I'll probably never have to worry about photographing black mocs again. Just don't look too closely, you'll probably find a whole bunch of jpg/iso artifacts.

I'm a bit ashamed to say it, but I want to do some light heresy. Basically I'd like to do something like pic related to some mask, so the eyes can glow properly. What would be the best way? Should I use some sort of plastic sheet? Anyone has ideas?

The best way is to make a mold with the mask to fabricate a visor part to slot into the mask, behind the eyes. I tried this a couple of years back but didn't have any clear plastics to use, and so never really finished it.

After rewatching that for a bit, I realized that it's actually not the voice acting or even the robot filter that makes it sound weird, it's just that the lines are cut together badly. For example, at about 30 seconds in "The Golden Mask of Unity..." is followed by "Did you have the vision?" so quickly that they almost sound like part of the same line. Even the Narration right at the beginning isn't safe from this kind of problem.
So we should probably expect everything to sound a bit better in the actual show.

Speaking of Umarak's voice, seems anon was right in guessing that Strickland guy as the VA for Umarak. Or at least as far as I can tell.

Sounds like they got the 2015 narrator to do it voice. If they did, then he's pretty good when he puts sone effort into it.

The voices sound okay. The filter is a bit annoying though, I'm glad that it's extremely thinly veiled so it doesn't ruin the voices completely. I didn't even notice it with Lewa and Kopaka.

It saves Umarak mind you, I feel he sounds more manacing with it. Not sure why Ekimu's isn't distorted. Seems to be a stylistic choice, more than anything.

Animation style, badly distorted voices and the odd CGI goof here and there are giving me flashbacks to shitty Transformers shows from over a decade ago, but thankfully those flashbacks are rather faint.

I didn't buy much of the Glatorian sets. Although fuck you, I liked Hewkii Mahri. I think I was one of the few who bought pretty much bought all the Toa of Stone every generation. I was disappointed in the color transition from brown to yellow, but still enjoyed the sets.

Usually either my phone (galaxy note 4) or my Sony DSC-T110 that I got a long time ago. Neither of them really perfect, but their imperfections are currently tolerable.

That said, If anyone has a camera that they'd like to recommend that's good for toy photography, I'd love to hear it. My current camera is years old so it's probably time for an upgrade.

Rather than the deep, growling sound we're used to from big-bad type villains, Umarak has more of a hissing sound, which is in a way more fitting for the shadowy minion he is. If they can get the creepy/menacing vibe right with him, that voice will work out great.

The D'Anda comics did touch them up a bit and used clever angles to to get emotions out of them depending on the panel. Wouldn't work so well in motion, I think. MNOG gets a pass because it was a quickly and cheaply made browser game.

Then again, it's not like they're giving these guys Miramax-tier facial redesigns either, or bendy-metal faces like the Transformers cartoons. Looks like they don't even have mouths, they just move the top part of their eye-holes reaaaally slightly.

I'm happy we got a trailer and all, but I'd be way happier if they had just posted the full staff instead. Now we know who the VAs are and what some of them sound like, but information on who's directing/writing/composing/animating is still nonexistent. Most of those play a bigger part in the show's final quality than the voice actors, so it'd be really nice to know anything about that.

This is what gets me. The nostalgia filter is pretty thick on most Bionicle fans (I actually got into it as a kid in 2004). So they're much less willing to forgive the later stuff that is just as good/bad.

I will say that I'd watch TLR just to hear Mata Nui's VA again. Even though it wasn't the best use of the budget that was IMO the best voice for a Bionicle character in any movie. Tied with Turaga Vakama.

We have had the voice cast for awhile and its more than six, so no reason for characters to share voice actors, Lewa and Umarak's voices are pretty different, its just the robotic filter that makes them sound more similar.

In the sense that the delivery is different, sure. I have no doubt that in actuality they ARE two separate actors... probably. But it really does sound like the same guy putting on a different voice for two different characters. In my opinion at least.

Clearly the artist being retarded as proved throughout the novel in various art mistakes.

The drawing of the mask literally just looks like they shopped in the first image of the mask of time they found on google images, the different artstyle on that masks suggests such a thing as well.

Meanwhile, in clear text at the end of said graphic novel, they state the mask of life is an upper half with lower half never been seen, so there is a bit of dissonance between the art and text of the book, but the text takes precedence since the art has shown numerous times in that graphic novel that it cant quite be trusted.

But the character design was pretty atrocious.
Everyone looked way too much like a robot, especially since they were guys wearing armor instead of full-on robots/cyborgs like in the first 3 movies.

Is this a G2 Dark Mirror Potato? I never knew there were so many uses for Tohunga feet. I just keep them in a box. Those hips don't look too stable. With the transparent resin, about 10-12 hours. Solid color resin solidifies in 5-8 minutes. Adding dyes will extend that time an indefinate amount, but solid resin with dye is still a good 10-15 mins.

After being demolded, parts should be left alone for a few hours - they will be solid, but reaching optimum cure takes about 3-6 hoursafter that, and longer for transparent stuff.

I had a strange one. I don't remember a lot of it, but here's what I understood.

Its not even a recolor though, silver is a common color for that piece and seen in two bionicle sets last year, and would have fit Uxar and Ketar's color schemes much better than dark grey. Doesnt make a lot of sense why they chose dark grey over silver.

The shoulders are a bit ugly, but I couldn't think of a better, legal way to build them. The neck redesign doesn't let me put the head where it originally was, so I have to stick with shortening the legs and posing him differently. I didn't want to change the original look too much and I don't have enough Technic stuff to completely rebuild the torso.

I like to go on obscure YouTube channels that have thousands of videos yet only like 3 views and I've seen it quite a bit

It's really strange.

Here are my findings

The "autist accent" is most common in fans/channels of anime, my little pony, video games such as minecraft and call of duty, and cartoon/comic/webcomic/ fandoms.

I wonder if it stems from having little IRL social interaction or something?

For the set, I always interpreted them as cybernetic enhancements. One arm is a massive crusher claw designed for offense, and the other is a little defensive grabby claw used for parrying and grabbing a swinging blade.

When I was younger, I just used Onua-claw and one Exo-Force arm for the thumb.

Sure, it didn't have any articulation, but it looked okay, and I had enough friction to grasp a weapon firmly even without connection points.

I just watched The Legend Reborn, it wasn't too bad but the one thing that irked me was the fact that there where no mentions of the three virtues. There was a lot of Unity mentioned though, and it made me think; Where there actually three movies planned? One focused on Unity, another on Duty, and a third on Destiny?

I'd separate the G1 from the G2 and file the Technic stuff separately. I don't have enough CCBS to need a filing system for it. I just have it in two bags and empty them out when I need the parts.

Don't forget about them using pieces that didn't show up until 2006 (technic ball piece, using techniques lego never would (using the mini figure arms for decoration), along with many fragile connections, and completely removing their gear function (but still having it on) for possibility.

It cant roll, nor do the headbashing.
For the head articulation i use a glatorian neck/straight hordika neck inside the head connected to a simple socket joint in the body. I can make pictures if you want.

I'm not really sure myself, guess maybe a bit of both, depends how easy it is to get Bohrok-Kal faceplates on bricklink.
