NECA's was canceled. Playmate's had shit QC. Revoltech's were ruined by the articulation. Bandai's are based on cereal box art. Mondo's remind me too much of Playmate's retro ones.
Probably the only ones that i think look good are MegaBlok's and that Loyal Subject's line.... both of which only get a pass for being stylized in styles i like.

I was late to the game with the originals and while I'd be fine with the bootlegs, Japanese customs keep confiscating them every time I order them from eBay. The Bandai ones just aren't my cup of tea. Too toony for my likening. Would love some well articulated toys that emulated the 80s toy line in aesthetics.

There is nothing that says it for sure, it's just been kinda, sorta, vaguely hinted at, but they also said the same things last year, and we haven't really seen anything of it yet.

We know they're doing 1/4 scale versions of the Turtles from the first live-action movie, but that's all we know so far with absolute certainty.

TMNT aired from the '87-'96. It mostly aired in the 90's.

Also you're basing your criticism off of the opening animation and the first episodes. Both of which had a better animation style and better details than the majority of the cartoon.

Also, you must not remember the marketing images used back in the 80's/90's for the Turtles.
And I'm not talking about the toy box art, because toy box art was the shit back in the 90's, TMNT or otherwise.
But they used the exact same at style in the 80s/90s

I think what bothers me about these figures is how the limbs are so muscular and detailed in contrast to the main body and heads looking so much softer and doughy. Maybe it's just weird lighting but it makes the Turtles look off.

I doubt they'd give this a limited run considering they have a much larger market than usual in American fans of TMNT, they don't look particularly more complex than other Figuarts, and the accesory count doesn't seem to be bigger than usual.
