LET'S DISCUSS DOLLHOUSES.

Where can I get this shipping container but bare?
I want to make my own, not spend 230$ for that shit already made.
Preferable 1:18 scale but 1:12 is fine too.

That's by some designer that wants the stupid price you already saw. No one else makes them like that. So make your own out of wood, or resort to using a tissue box.

Man that shipping container looks great. I'd like to try and make one in 1:18 scale. It's not a perfect match, but corrugated cardboard could mimic those ribbed sides, and I have seen corrugated plastic around. The frame could be 1/4" square dowel, maybe card stock or aluminum sheet for the roof and corner braces. Don't know how to get nice lettering like that though.

Far as I know 1:18 scale doesn't have a readily available analogy in the miniature world. 1/12 or 6 inch figures have the common 1 inch dollhouse scale. There is a 1/2 inch miniature scale but that would be for a 3" figure.

1:18 would be 2/3 dollhouse scale. 3/4 scale is close but I don't know how common either of those are. Most of the time if I want 1:18 scale props I have to make them because they can't be bought.

There's a few trailer and mobile home kits out there in 1/12 scale. Honestly if you wanted to make the shipping crate house though, just building or buying a premade wooden box of the right size and gluing wood strips along the outside then painting and weathering would get you pretty much there. Add some stenciled letters and scrap sprues from a plamo kit if you want a look like >>5513010

1/16 is probably as close as you'll get. Its harder to find properly labeled though. Most older 50s-70s play line dollhouse stuff falls into this category for some reason, and it still continues sometimes today. A few of my old Playskool dollhouses are 1/16.
