>>5693499Each bot does not do what it's supposed to do, as the bots fail to transform into Devastator without half of the figure being separate pieces. TW Devastator is a lego kit.
Criticizing GT Devastator is a butthurt tu quoque that has nothing to do with TW Devy looking like hot garbage. I'm not even comparing the two, in fact I'm not even comparing TW devastator to any other Devastator. It's also a complete exaggeration to call him a statue as he's as poseable as most other combiners.
TW Devy is, in a vacuum, completely garbage. He's barely a transformer. He's an oversized lego kit with terrible proportions despite partsforming, and in fact, it's because of the bolted on pieces is why he looks so garbage.
The fact that you're practicing so much damage control about partsforming of all things tells me that you're just so sour with buyers remorse that you'll eat up whatever shit your delt because you've already invested.
Partsforming is objectively bad. TW Devastator 50% unintegrated spare parts. Poor proportions are objective bad, and TW Devastator looks like Shaq and an orangutan had a green dumpster baby.
This is way before I even consider the QC issues on the individual bots, the shit tread and mixer drum gimmicks which hinder poseability and transformations, the godawful squeaking on hip joints, the thin ass fragile elbow joints on the arm bots, the garbage proportions on every single bot so far (three mile deep legs on every member), G1 bots with a non G1 style combined mode, etc, etc, etc.
TW devastator exists for his combined mode just like Hasbro's does, but TW is so incompetent that he can't even get there without having to be built with parts. It's embarrassing.
I wanted him to be good so badly. The headsculpts are gorgeous. I love the size of the thing. It's as G1 as third party is gonna get, but everything else is so completely shit that I just couldn't do it.
