Groove's alright, but not $25+ good or even really $20 good when you could buy stuff like Classics Mirage or Deluxe Warpath instead. But I think the main reason I like Groove is not cuz "muh g1" but mainly because he's a unique mold right now in the midst of a sea of repaints and retools in CW.

Granted, he'll become Afterburner later, but he's still a fully original, non-redecoed mold right now.

so I took some of the arm pieces off of the G1 and switched them with the G2 to give the G2 some colour and I really like the effect, but now I'm not sure what to do with the G1 and I was thinking it'd be fun to paint it

Looking at my G1 Megatron of that mold though, they could have easily left the front and back panels off the Armada repaint and made him an H tank.

I'll buy it for the hell of it. Doesn't look like a superb mold, but if I don't have to pay a premium for it, I'll check it out if it's regular deluxe price. Not buying the whole UW Bruticus set as most of the decos (including blast off's) are kinda weak except for stand alone onslaught and based vortex.

Also so I can use all four "replacement" members on Galvatronus for a full combiner, and give all the g1 online exclusive guys to their respective gestalts.

I don't own tons of movie stuff (mainly just things that fit into classics like bludgeon, terradive, tomahawk, sea spray, hell even a movie1 barricade) so i dunno how phenomenal Bludgeon's transformation is by bayformer standards, but I really enjoy it. I always forget how to do it after a few months of having him sit on my shelf, but it's always pretty fun rediscovering how to transform him again.

Nah, just Megatrons. I don't have the RotF tank. I want to say I had a chance to get one on clearance but I missed it. Maybe it was just the Starscream on clearance, I have a couple of the Leader SS that I found for $5 each once at a K-Mart.

I'm sure many people will buy it, but it wouldn't be quite like Groove for a few reasons.

1. Blast-off wasn't replaced by another bot like Groove was
2. Many people would, for a good reason, prefer a jet on a military team over a space shuttle
3. A bike has way more play value than a space shuttle. You can make other bots ride the bike, but you can't exactly fit anything inside the shuttle

I try to avoid owning multiples as much as possible. For example I got the Generations Dreadwing and Jhiaxus instead of Megatron/Starscream.

WFC Megs is really a must own though. Even as a deluxe it probably towers over all your other deluxe cons.

There's a decent chance more listings will pop up tomorrow. Last Mayhem had almost every retailer receive the exclusives like Walmart, Target, TRU, etc.

Since they haven't listed, several prominent stores like TFSourse and Ages 3+up haven't either, and my records show I ordered Quicksinger and Breakneck on the 25th of May last year, I'm hopeful that I can get Groovy and give scalpers the finger.

I picked him up from ScrambleCore, along with a Generation deluxe which was $7. The shipping was $9. So it ended up being 2 deluxes for about $15 each.

I have no clue when they'll actually ship out my order though as I've never ordered from them before. But I did the transaction through paypal so I think my investment is safe.

If they have articulation in the knees, elbows, arms and legs then yes.

them all being bricks is the reason so many fans hated the line especially coming after BW and RID.

Cybertron basic level articulations is good enough for me.

Both Hasbro and Takara have shitty Lightspeeds.

Hasbro used the right mold, but couldn't be assed to remove the police lightbar and add a spoiler.

Takara has a good head sculpt, but used a shitty mold probably because it had a spoiler. They also gave him a weird maroon paint job.

I'm still getting Takara's version because I think Nosecone, Scattorshot, and Strafe are superior to Hasbro's. I like Hasbro's Afterburner just a little more than Takara's. But both Lightspeeds look retarded to me...with Hasbro's being slightly less retarded because of it being based on one of the best CW molds.

Hasbro's mold choice fits better with the alt mode though (minus the stupid light bar and lack of spoiler). Plus, they could easily remold his chest to form a faux window chest like the Wheeljack mold has.

If you took Hasbro's Lightspeed mold, gave it Takara's head, took away the lightbar, added a little spoiler, and remolded the chest to be a faux roof, it'd be perfect.

As amazing as the paint on war zombie breakdown was its a straight up repaint, and that was a tak-tom-mall exclusive

We just keep resetting. 4H had new heads and was planning on doing new weapons for Energon... the jeep, as Brawn and... I forget. I thought FunPub would eventually get up to more, and they did, sorta, slowly. Don't listen to that guy. The stress marks, if they're there at all, are extremely minor and are rendered even less visible by the colour of his shoulders. Quillfire oozes personality and can throw plenty of shapes for a Transformer his size. Definitely worth picking up.

The mold is pretty good. Not fantastic, but good. There are a few issues like the hands not being able to hold on to weapons well. That and no wrist and waist swivels when there's no reason not to have them.

The left leg on mine has a weird click when moving the lower leg to bot mode and I can't find what's making it.

I like him alot because he feels a little more unique amongst the other components. Sure, he has the folding leg mechanic from the Aerialbots, and how his arms tuck away is also similar to them, but the wheels make all the difference.

It was actually kinda refreshing needing to read-up on the instructions again. The other times I could transform them in my sleep, standing on one foot, an arm tied behind my back, and my eyes closed.

The clear armor gimmick work better for these weaponizers as effect parts...on the flying pucks the armor bits will just explode on impact and scatter all over the room.
