Depends on the set, you will get more for stuff like Bohrok or classic Toa than you will from the Hordika or Visorak for example. In general, the cooler a set looks + the more nostalgia people have for the set, the more its worth.

God damn Umarak the Destroyer is awesome in the app. His stylized design is great and he shoots a fucking Godzilla laser from his mouth.

Shame the Beasts and super Ekimu aren't incorporated into the game AT ALL.

I'm guessing it's probably a beta of the summer patch if there aren't any beasts or any of the other three Toa. There's no way the full update won't have the beasts, they're even color coded to match the difficulty of the skull enemies for god's sake.

The other three Toa are in the game now, though. There's 15 new levels, Gali, Onua, and Kopaka, and Umarak the Destroyer as a boss. That's it. There isn't really any new scenery like the apocalyptic hellscape or the volcano either. The majority of the levels still only take place within the Maze.

I haven't played all 15 yet, but so far I've seen a comic where the Toa fight Umarak briefly and then he escapes. I've seen another through where LAST YEARS Ekimu walks up to a defeated Destroyer and pulls off his mask, but I doubt that's canon. It's probably just a ploy for the game so they don't entirely spoil the end of JtO.

A previous anon made a how to for a suped up Ekimu (his design on the left aside from the gun arm - that was me being autistic) that I had as my main Ekimu for a bit and now I'm posting this pic because I'm gonna have to take Old Ekimu apart since there's a better one out like it's that good of a set. The transparent blue really grew on me - it makes him look like he's made out of pure godlike energy or some shit.

Have a subline of Bionicle that features mainly mixels joints, with maybe a new joint piece for hips.

Then the sets can be cheaper because they're smaller, masks can be minifig scale helmets, detail will be way higher because of various plates/details, they'll be able to wield minifig weapons and combine much easier, functions are still entirely possible (Klinkers Max has a fucking gearbox), and more diverse body styles would be even easier to create, so Ouna can be the bulky hunchback he's supposed to be and Pohatu and Gali can have their thicc hips.

I picked up the Toa Terrain Crawler last year for a decent price and thought it was pretty neat.

Personally, I greatly dislike them since they clearly show why you shouldn't mix System with G1 parts.
The style of both clashes horribly and some of the sets look like overly simple System sets that someone randomly slapped some Bionicle weapons and masks on them.

Unfortunately true. I've got almost the entire G1 line with nowhere to put them, so they're disassembled and bagged/canned up in five storage totes. They're just too large to have out all at once, and even if you have the space they'll aesthetically look like the contents of a Lego bin. There's so much part and color reuse going on between most of them that they have to be spaced out or else they visually run together.

Finally got to implement this neck fix/mod for UTD. Looks nice, gives this sense of the figure having a throat kind of and it feels a lot more stable too. Plus it's on 4 pieces and you free up 2 pins in the process.

I'm not too keen on the skeletal looking wings or the clashing textures on the body, but the legs looks better than I would have anticipated. I did work on Panthar back in 2014, no drastic modifications, but I felt it was a bit too rough, as a set (also the silver thumb was just a placeholder, I really need to take some new pictures of my mocs and mods).

Nope, drilldozer is the only set that uses this piece, and the mold was never seen again. I suspect it might be that they didn't feel like it was strong enough, the section of the piece being an inverted U. Also, isn't the hero factory chest add-on incompatible with it ? I remember it not being a legal connection.

Yeah I'm not confident that it would actually work the way anyone would want it to. Considering how the resin mask pegs have nowhere near the friction of lego's ABS parts I'm not sure that I even want to go anywhere near ball socket stuff.

Even if it was an option it'd probably have to be injection molded due to it's shape and size and I dont' have the resources to do that.

Small Ekimu could fight at once with a bunch of soldiers that gave the Toa a hard time and took them a team effort to beat. And even if you choose to take that promo video of him as non canon, once he got his Mask back he easily one shot a guy who in turn had previously one shot all six Toa.

Small Ekimu is easily at least as strong as 3-4 Toa put together. Larger Ekimu might be even stronger.

We've had a chance to go back to Glatorian launchers (which were ridiculously overused in HF) or Zamor (the mold still existed few years back), but I can see why Lego keeps pushing the six-shooter.

It's relatively small and simple piece, it shoots stuff that everyone has million off, and it can be integrated into almost every single other theme as well.

And I'd rather shove nails down my dickhole than go back to squid launchers, cordaks, tridax pods or nynrah blasters.

In all honesty though, TTV is pretty shit. Before they moved to Vessel, they moaned how we all should watch the ads in front of their videos to help them out for all their "hard work" and now they moan at us constantly that we should subscribe to them on Vessel. Sorry but I ain't paying 2,99 a month.

They even have a fucking animated Vessel ad in front of almost all their videos and it's cringey as fuck and the first 20 minutes of their podcast is always them sucking Vessel's dick pretty much.

Not to mention the horrible release schedules. The winte 2016 just released and their booktalk videos for a book that released beginning this year have only now started to appear. In their podcasts they sometimes ask each other why someone hasn't uploaded a specific video yet and their response is usually along the lines of: "I haven't finished it." or "Didn't feel like it."

How do they expect anyone to give them money every month with that atitude?

Imagine if Lego Movie 2 starts on a brick-built Mata Nui/Okoto and it gives off this dark and mystical fantasy vibe. The Toa show up to face Makuta at some sort of tribal shrine and right as the tension rises and the forces of light and darkness are about to clash!... Emmet clumsily bursts in with some kind of wacky out of place accident. Like a stampede of bison escape from Old West through into this world and rush by, while he frantically chases after them. The initial tension is completely broken and the Bionicle characters are just left standing there awkwardly before the story moves on to focus on Emmet's hi-jinks.

I think that would be a neat way to give Bionicle a little more limelight in the sequel without it impacting the story too much. But maybe constraction being featured that much in a big budget Lego Movie is just a pipe dream, though.

As of now, there's 79 medium blue ones and 55+4 ones from Ahkmou.

It really grinds my gears that sellers can't organize masks for shit. The four just means masks that are listed in full brown, not the one catalog entry that's specifically for Ahkmou's.

Especially the original golden and silver Kanohi are the worst. It's also partially a blessing. Thanks to mislabeled colors, I've gotten 5 of the golden Kanohi for less than 2€ a pop.

It's why the brief shot referencing Bionicle in the first one was from 2001; not from the later years and not from Hero Factory: Because the original Bionicle, and especially its early success, is still an important part of Lego's heritage whether it's the current IP or not. Even though it's technically inherantly a you commercial, I've always considered The Lego movie to be more of a celebration of the brand, and tons of retired minifigures showed up whether they were in the forefront or just in the background. It doesn't matter if Bionicle is replaced by the time LM2 comes out, because the theme can still be featured regardless.

Considering dwindling interest here and the eventual mass retail restocks it should be fine.

okay? what set does it come in?
a Chima set that Amazon and Ebay are selling for WAY too much...heck. the images I've seen, it doesn't exactly look like the Dark green I'm looking for, rather a Bright green.
