Retailers are tired of marvel toys. IM2, Thor, CA all lingered a bit too long, with avengers after it all. They didn't want more of the same hanging around.

So IM3 was super gimmicky, thor 2 got a light wave, CA 2 got a decent stuff cause it had been a while and was before summer cluster. By GOTG they wanted to move away from 3.75 inch not selling. So.... 2.5inch was made, for more vehicles and pack ins.

The main reason? The Marvel line at Hasbro is run by a faggot who HATES 1:18 shit.

The faggot is a huge Marvel Legends fanboy and flat out STATED he wanted it to be the flagship Marvel toy line.

I really can't blame Hasbro for trying to push the 6" figures, because they'll make more money that way.
It's also why they push the comic and 3 packs so much for when they did that in 1:18 scale, because even though we're paying less for figures, they're still making more money than if they sold them seperately.
