With newer figmas launching at 6k to 8k, that price for Ryuko isn't that bad anymore..

I remember when we all considered 5k for an exclusive Misaka Imouto or sexface Mato "expensive"... now that price is a bargain.

It's pretty spot on, I mean as accurate as a 1/12~ scale figure can be.

My only gripe is that she doesn't come with an angry face with a closed mouth, which is one of her main expressions in the show when she's in her attack mode with Senketsu.

I would gladly swap the wide eyed smiling faceplate for pic related.

I watched a few reviews of that Ryuko and while she does look really nice her articulation is really hampered by that fabric they used on her arms and legs, I'd be too scared to bend her elbows and knees for fear of ripping it.

I'm fairly sure they want articulated figures. Not pretty figures with materials that either don't allow for articulation, or ones that do but end up just tearing if you actually make use of them.

Also, 6 inch or 1/12th scale a best.

I had her, bought her actually for $50 new bout 8 months back or so.
Ended up selling her for about $75 a couple of months ago - it wasn't because I didn't like the figure - it looked great, but I was switching focus in my collection, I got rid of all my random animu girls and just collect Nintendo / DBZ / Star Wars / Persona now, mostly.

It's not that rare. It's just jacked up in price because a handful of waifufags discovered capitalism and realized there are people willing to pay obscene prices for anything, you just have to wait a bit for it. The others are just playing along and setting prices based on trends.

The straps on the front of the collar snaps off easily, but that can be glued back simply enough.

Mine took a shelf dive which snapped the coat hinge which is a pain in the ass to fix. But unless you drop it, it will probably be ok.
