Fuck I hate how good things never last. Back in the day in 03-04 bzpower was the place to be for all active bionicle discussion. For awhile it was like that here, but with no hype this place is so dead. I feel like there's literally nowhere to find active discussions on bionicle. I wish Lego would've put some more effort like G1 with pack in comics and tons of media to explore. It sucks because I want to like G2 and it has the potential, but it just seems like lego is just releasing sets and doing the bare minimum for it's "supposed fans and franchise they care about". Sorry guys I just had to vent, but this is bullshit.

Rey's about the only one I enjoy (with some modification) and Finn was good for Robo2Pac, other than that I could care less.

As for the limbs I tried using what little dark red CCBS I had, but they're more placeholder limbs till I can make better ones (which may be never as limbs are NOT my specialty). Glad you like the torso tho - that was my favorite part of making this whole thing.

I've only ever pictured this as Jaller once before, and it was another alternate universe thing - only this time it was a universe where Zaktan shot a hole through Matoros cheat in front of Jaller, who became enraged and broke the Toa Code by smashing Zaktans head in with a cylinder of protodermis. He felt so much shame that he went and ran off and that's where our stories meet.

Use a voodoo ball or something similar and stick it to the back of a G1 head, and use one of the double connectors used mostly in HF's XL sets for either the Mata head+ball or Metru head.

Or make your own torso.

You could probably order the magazine online but if that's all your interested in you'd be better off just bricklinking the parts. Also the eagle doesn't officially come out for two months. Neither of the sets have particularly rare parts, so you could probably find all of them in a single bricklink store.

For the record, hardest parts to get for this are the gold fang-piece and the 3-long axle with stopper. Everything else is fairly easy to get.

And for Scorpio, the trans-green bones are only used in Uxar, and good luck trying to find BL sellers.

On a serious note, the gold armor add-on feels a bit off/too much. I personally put the crystal armor piece on the thighs and remove the lower leg gold add-on.

I still think the gold Mask of Creation still looks really out-of-place on him, but I like the gold shell atop the hammer.

Also love the use of the combined Destroyer torso on your upgrade. Maybe give him double-jointed thighs like pic related though? Extending both his arms and torso make his legs look a little short

Make him larger, use opaque purple for core segments of him, like the spine or sides, and use trans purple for the limbs. Just having the different purples scattered about him seems off, needs more thought.

neither holes work. one is set too high, which means you see a third of the head below the chin of the mask, and the other, which is on top of the head doesn't make eyes appear. There's a friend who made a metru/mata mask adapter for the 2015 head on shapeways though, if you don't find any convincing alternative.

that adaptor seems to be for Mata masks. I'm trying to find a solution for Metru masks like Iruini's, Axonn's, or Vakama's.

I found these old cheap ass dinosaur playsets in my attic - those Discovery Channel ones you find in Toys R Us or some similar knock off - that used a T axle connection to fit the backpacks into the human figures and it turns out it's completely compatible with Lego axles. I made this little hiker dude with it since he's the only one sized right for it.

Here's RoboPac v1.2 - I made the legs a little more concise and bulky as will as giving him ball jointed wrists. Any advice? Just like his brother Quake Beast, I was dreading Storm Beast somewhat. Figured I'd have to do some drastic fiddling - turns out I was wrong.

In fact, not much looks different from the front. Changed the forearms, shortened the 'thumb' claw and gave him a bit more of his elemental colours - which again, contrary to my initial thoughts, did not mean more navy blue.

Whenever I 'fix' sets I strive to keep them as close to their original shape as possible and to keep them looking like official Lego products. This 'marionette' mechanism is really cool, so I didn't want to get rid of it.

The problem with the back, to my mind, was not how bare it was but how much the mechanism 'popped', being made from light grey pieces. I replaced most of them with black ones, then made the tail bones Trans. Light Blue to draw more attention there.

Since the thread is pretty slow, I wanted to post a small update on that WIP. The kakana holds using friction from the flexible double axle connector. I would love to make the part that holds the katana in place smaller and integrate another flexible piece but it seems pretty hard to keep it in a 2x2 space.

So. share Custom foot builds? doesn't matter how simple or complex they are, it's just a matter of you didn't use a piece that Lego calls a "Foot" to make your foot.

Well, last year we got solid drained masks for her and Tahu, although Gali's was super limited run (which blows) and this year the beasts are just associated with one of the "big" Toa sets. I'm guessing TLG doesn't think Gali is marketable because she's the token Girl.

a friend of mine gave me a second reddish Brown inika armor so I just had two to order on Bricklink, and I found a way to incorporate a swivel in the forearm so the wrist isn't static anymore. I'll also build an articulated frame for the scarf using mixel joints so it can hold different positions.

Buy the individual sets, you'll save some money. Good luck getting Takutanuva's mask. Norik and Iruini will most likely be a lot cheaper if you part them out. No real easy way to get Karzahni, though.

It looks like flaming garbage but the part selection is pretty good if not for the the four printed shells. The texture doesn't even match with anything. I hoped it could had been compatible at least with Lava Beasts chest.

These are not actual glatorian, but I aimed for a more natural look. All three share the same basic body, and yeah, using ballcups as shoulders is not a good idea.
