Actual female professional game developer here, OP is on the right track, but even sweatpants is wrong, I usually sit around in nothing but my panties if we're being quite frank, also I don't brush my hair until I'm about to leave the house.

So this should probably just be an old naked barbie that's been sitting around in some kid's room for a while that looks all haggard and tangled, with a laptop and some pizza boxes and energy drink cans. And the laptop should be plugged into a second monitor that has some garbage horror movie playing on Neflix.

Also where's the mouse I don't use the trackpad like a plebian are you kidding me?

People did care and criticized publications for corruption, but no one attacked and insulted gamers over it. The only reason gamergate got started was because the "journalists" published articles trashing gamers.

It's no big surprise that people get more angry when they're insulted than when someone else is insulted.

No, it started because Adam Baldwin, who happens to be a right-wing religious nutcase, butted in on some domestic dispute because he openly feels women shouldn't have rights, and coined the term "Gamergate" because Zoe happened to have made some indie game.
