>>5768876>You're about 6 weeks too early. Fall reset doesn't begin until early August, and then it's transitional until early SeptemberWhich is why they're clearancing out now, so the shit can be slowly phased out over the coming weeks, so that when those six weeks are up they've got the open room.
I saw like, half the LEGO aisle on clearance too, most of their endcaps were clearance stuff in the toy aisles, etc. They prepare for resets weeks in advance by slowly phasing stuff out, and making room. They don't just do that much work over night, and they don't leave giant gaps in aisles if they don't have to. And they're not going to make big changes to the plano, shelf space, and aisle layouts just to change it in a few weeks.
I worked at a Target for over a year. I should kind of know about this stuff.
Still, them clearancing shit out from a movie thats not even out yet is definitely a sign that they don't have faith in this toyline, and they're trying to get the shit out of there.
The last toyline I remember this happening to was the GI Joe Retaliation toyline. The movie got delayed by a year, but the figures were already on shelves and they had the figures sitting there for months on end. Then about a month or two before the movie actually released, all retailers except TRU pulled the merchandise and clearanced it because the line wasn't selling.
