Let's face it: unless you are part of the first three waves of Transformer toys NO ONE gives a fuck about you. Especially when it comes to characters that exist solely because Hasbro didn't re-release older characters with new toys in the 80s.
Scorponok, like Thunderwing and Bludgeon, might as well be generic killing machines for what casuals (IE people who make up the line's main audience). Or generic mindless tools that are used and not even treated as living sentient things (Ratbat and Scorponok again).
Bad enough we got those shithead Marvel fans demanding Shockwave be treated as a legit threat to Megatron as far as being able to kick his ass, or demanding Starscream have his entire personality and identity stripped from him so that it can be given to Shockwave. Or the garbage we now got from IDW that says Megatron and Galvatron are now two completely separate individuals. Or Overlord, Deathsaraus, and that shithead OC Don't Steal Tarn being treated as rivals that can kick Megatron's ass.
Do we really need another fake ass loser villain being treated as a legit rival leader to the Decepticons?
Just make him be a generic dumb as shit beast base like Trypticon.
