Nah, Tandy said that Konami only wanted them to differentiate P1 and P2 by having different colored bandanas. NECA screwed the pooch (as always) with the swapped colors. A simple headswap will fix this issue, but it will require painting the bandanas the correct colors.

Because that's how they're able to do them. Most toy licensing can cover a figure range from say, 3 inch to 12 inch. NECA doing 18" means they can get around that.

I own the original NES cart and the japanese famicom cart. The bandanas are black when you play it on a proper monitor, not some poorly emulated version. Also of note, the original arcade game has the blonde dude (P1) wearing a blue bandana and the black haired dude (P2) wearing a blue bandana, in-game and in the official art.

I kinda got the same feeling at first but it does look bulkier than a regular alien.

Also looking at the original Kenner the arms and legs on that weren't exactly massive it just had a ridiculously HUGE torso and shoulders which thankfully NECA haven't gone with.

Who knows accessory-wise. I imagine they'd package him with everything, that was kind of spread across the couple other releases before.

The Gorilla is a new head, new forearms, and a new end on the tail. The rest of just the Aliens warrior.

The mantis looks mostly new, but the torso, pelvis, and upper legs are just the Aliens warrior. The torso has the added bits on the shoulders which make it look pretty different, though.

Playmates is a harlot. They know they have absolutely nothing keeping them tethered to the here and now, without TMNT they are nothing. They hold on to the license and fight for it.

It's their golden goose, so the thought of sharing it scares them beyond belief.

It's a miracle that they're even letting NECA do what they're doing. And as for the live action figures, they're 18" scale. Which is outside of Playmates' range of 3/4" to 12" turtles. So it's getting around that bit of licensing (and probably still needing a green light).

Hadn't touched them in a while, but got the Ultimate T2 Uncle Bob and clothed Snake Plissken and they're pretty great. Looking forward to the Ash vs Evil Dead figures now.

Just seems like they didn't give a shit with the TF2 figures. I got all the Reds except Spy and they've all got serious problems with the articulation design and a lot of the joints are fragile and stick terribly.

So they're actually releasing this and seems to be made of resin. If you ask me, it sure sounds like a super retarded choice because it will bloat the price as not only is going to be sold as one per package but it's going to be super heavy increasing shipping costs.
It would've been better if it was made of plastic, perhaps even pack it unassembled like those snap-fit models.
